Position Description:

Do you enjoy designing scalable technical architectures that shape the future of enterprise systems? Can you blend systems engineering depth with functional awareness to develop, maintain, and evolve complex financial system designs? CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for a Systems Architect/Engineer 3 within our Intel sector, supporting enterprise architecture development across current state (AS IS) and future state (TO BE) environments.
As a Systems Architect/Engineer 3, you will lead documentation and analysis of enterprise system architectures, interface designs, workflow dependencies, and modernization concepts. You will work across technical and functional domains to validate architecture impacts, maintain configuration baselines, model new structures, and support forward looking design initiatives.
This position is located in Springfield, VA.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Develop and maintain AS IS architecture artifacts including system inventories, interface maps, dataflows, and configuration baselines.
. Support creation of TO BE architecture designs, modernization concepts, workflow enhancements, and future state system models.
. Conduct functional business process analysis, supporting troubleshooting and solution development across ERP related workflows.
. Define and review architecture standards aligned to enterprise reference models and cross functional requirements.
. Collaborate with engineering, functional, and security teams to validate architecture impacts of new releases or system changes.
. Produce detailed documentation including analysis papers, alternatives analyses, decision papers, and architecture review packages.
. Mentor junior engineers and analysts, supporting architecture governance activities and design best practices.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 4-7 years of systems architecture experience.
. Active Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with polygraph
. Strong understanding of system modeling, interface design, configuration management, and workflow dependencies.
. Demonstrated ability to design enterprise architectures and evaluate technical tradeoffs.
. Proficiency with architecture documentation practices including diagrams, dependency mapping, and baseline maintenance.
. Excellent communication skills for conveying architectural concepts to diverse technical and functional audiences.
Desired qualifications/non essential skills required:
. Active TS/SCI with polygraph
. Experience with modernization efforts, cloud migration, or enterprise redesign.
. Background in workflow optimization, process reengineering, or automation strategy.
. Familiarity with architecture governance frameworks or CM plans.
. Ability to support both technical and functional workstreams in collaborative environments.

Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $89,600.00 $218,200.00.
