Systems Analyst
JOB SUMMARY
A Systems Analyst is responsible for analyzing business requirements, evaluating existing systems, and designing technology solutions that improve business processes and operational efficiency. The role acts as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure that technology solutions meet organizational needs.
Key Responsibilities
Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements.
Work with stakeholders to understand business processes and identify improvement opportunities.
Evaluate current systems and recommend enhancements or new solutions.
Create functional specifications, process flows, and system documentation.
Collaborate with developers, testers, and project managers throughout the development lifecycle.
Participate in system design, configuration, integration, and implementation activities.
Conduct system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and defect tracking.
Provide support during system deployments and post-implementation activities.
Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate resolution with technical teams.
Ensure compliance with organizational standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements.
Prepare training materials and assist end users with new system adoption.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in systems analysis, business analysis, or a related IT role.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.
Experience gathering and documenting business and technical requirements.
Knowledge of databases, system integrations, APIs, and enterprise applications.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Office, Visio, Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
