The OpportunityRCG is seeking an experienced
Systems Administrator to support a federal customer in
Hawaii. This position will provide hands-on administration, operation, maintenance, security, and lifecycle support for enterprise Microsoft Windows systems and related infrastructure.
Due to customer requirements, all contractors supporting this program must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident and be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience with
Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, DHCP, Windows endpoints, system security, patching, troubleshooting, and hardware/software lifecycle management. Experience supporting Red Hat Linux environments and enterprise endpoint management tools such as BigFix is highly desirable.
What You'll DoSystems Administration & Infrastructure Support- Administer and support Microsoft Windows Active Directory infrastructure, including domain controllers, file servers, and DHCP servers.
- Integrate systems and applications into the enterprise Microsoft Active Directory environment.
- Support Microsoft Windows servers, desktops, laptops, and audiovisual (AV) devices.
- Provide integration support for Red Hat Linux servers and workstations.
- Support enterprise BigFix services for endpoint management and system administration.
- Lead and maintain enterprise Windows configurations.
- Upgrade systems to current supported Microsoft operating system versions.
- Perform user and system account administration, including account creation, permission changes, access management, and account removal.
- Provision, manage, monitor, and restore network communications.
- Provide data backup, restoration, and recovery support.
System Maintenance & Lifecycle Management- Develop annual hardware, software, and licensing requirements.
- Install, configure, support, and maintain system hardware and software.
- Track and manage hardware, software, applications, and licenses throughout their lifecycle.
- Provision and update systems with new versions of application software.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system failures, performance problems, and security issues.
- Decommission outdated systems and prepare equipment for proper disposal.
- Maintain accurate documentation of system changes, configurations, and updates.
Windows Security Administration- Apply and maintain current Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) configurations across Microsoft Windows systems.
- Install and maintain operating system and security patches.
- Monitor system logs for performance, operational, and security issues.
- Identify and remediate system vulnerabilities and configuration issues.
- Implement and enforce applicable federal cybersecurity, system management, and IT policies.
- Ensure systems remain appropriately configured, patched, secured, and operational.
RequirementsWhat We're Looking For- 5+ years of relevant IT systems administration experience, including at least 3 years of hands-on experience administering Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory environments.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Windows desktop operating systems.
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory administration and integration, including domain controllers, file servers, DHCP, permissions, and account administration.
- Experience with Windows system configuration, operating system upgrades, patching, and troubleshooting.
- Experience implementing and maintaining STIG configurations in an enterprise environment.
- Knowledge of system security, log monitoring, vulnerability remediation, and configuration management.
- Experience with hardware and software installation, maintenance, and lifecycle management.
- Experience with backup, restoration, and recovery processes.
- Experience with enterprise endpoint management and patching tools; BigFix experience is highly desirable.
- Experience integrating or supporting Red Hat Linux systems within an enterprise environment is preferred.
- Strong technical documentation, troubleshooting, communication, and customer-service skills.
- Ability to work effectively and independently in an on-site federal IT environment.
