This opportunity resides with Warfare Systems (WS), a business group within HII's Mission Technologies division. Warfare Systems comprises cyber and mission IT; electronic warfare; and C5ISR systems.

This position is part of our Cyber and Intelligence division, which plays a critical role in supporting Enterprise-Level Security and Modernization efforts across IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, physical facilities, and personnel operations.

The Systems Administrator - NMCI Desktop Support serves as the organization's NMCI Assistant Customer Technical Representative (ACTR), providing frontline coordination and support for NMCI desktop services.
You will work closely with users and NMCI service providers to ensure accurate information, proper ticket handling, and timely delivery of NMCI device provisioning, troubleshooting, and lifecycle actions.
In addition to assisting with workstation setup and refresh activities, this role supports inventory accuracy, compliance with NMCI policies, and clear communication of processes and requirements to both users and leadership.

What you will do

You will provide front-line coordination and desktop support for NMCI-managed end-user environments, ensuring users receive reliable, accurate assistance with workstation provisioning, troubleshooting, and lifecycle actions. In this role, you apply solid technical and organizational expertise to manage NMCI service requests, support hardware refresh activities, and maintain a smooth user experience across the organization.

Key responsibilities include serving as the NMCI Assistant Customer Technical Representative (ACTR), reviewing and submitting NMCI tickets, tracking service actions, and supporting device setup, onboarding, and replacement activities.

You will assist users with NMCI-managed Windows workstation issues; coordinate with NMCI Service Desk and field technicians; and maintain accountability for NMCI-assigned assets, inventory updates, and disposition actions.

You may also participate in organizational-level support for NMCI updates, hardware refresh cycles, software rollouts, and policy implementations, as well as assist with documentation of procedures, service metrics, and reporting requirements.

Additionally, you will communicate NMCI processes and timelines to users, ensure all activities comply with NMCI and facility security standards, and contribute to maintaining a consistent, well-managed NMCI operational environment aligned with organizational policies and mission needs.

What we are looking for

3+ years of experience in Service Desk, desktop support, systems administration, or related roles
Demonstrated proficiency and expertise in the following:
- Deploying and managing Microsoft Windows desktop platforms
- Working with customers over-the-phone and in-person to resolve end-user issues

TS/SCI clearance required with ability to obtain a CI Poly

Active TS/SCI government security clearance required to start

Must meet DoD 8140/CSWF for 451-Intermedediate or be willing to obtain the appropriate credential within 6 months

Level Qualifications

Systems Administrator 1: High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience.

Systems Administrator 2: 3 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field or High School Diploma or equivalent and 7 years relevant experience.

Systems Administrator 3: 6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.

Systems Administrator 4: 10 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 8 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant experience.

Physical Requirements

Position will be subject to lifting, bending, stooping, etc to install/move systems.
