Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Windows Systems Administrator II with the focus of Windows Server/Workstation security remediation type work. The systems administrator will work on a team supporting program initiatives in secure, isolated computing environments. The systems administrator will be expected to team with peers, internal customers, and management to strengthen the consistency and standardization of IT infrastructure services to achieve operational excellence and program success. While this position is an individual contributor role, collaboration and strong technical knowledge and skills will be essential attributes.
What You'll Do:
- Interface with internal customers, security, and management teams for: maintaining production systems, resolving issues with services and physical systems.
- Maintain, and support multiple versions of Windows Server (2019-2025) to meet security scanning requirements. This will include applying current vulnerability/system/Windows patches along with any current STIGs in order to meet security compliance.
- Help Support VDI environments by using the security best practices of patching vulnerabilities.
- Execute troubleshooting skills to address stability of the Windows environment including application services.
- Occasional interface and use of SCCM/MECM.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working
on-site five days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.
Working Conditions: - Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.
Required Skills and Education- Related Bachelor's and 2 or more years of related experience; or HS Diploma and 6 or more years of related experience.
- Each higher-level degree, i.e., Associate's, Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for additional years of experience.
- Related certifications may count towards years of related experience.
- Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
- A current, active TS/SCI security clearance with ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI Polygraph.
- Excellent documentation skills, organization skills, and the ability to interact with team members cross-functionally.
- Solid communication skills.
- Excellent organization and project management/project coordination skills.
- Previous security related work using Tenable or SCAP scanners and applying recommended fixes.
- Knowledge with intel-based server class and workstation hardware.
- Some Knowledge with VMware virtualization and VDI type environments.
- Group Policy administration for STIG deployments.
- Some experience in Power Shell.

Preferred Skills and Education- A current C.I. Polygraph.
- Multiple years using SCCM/MECM for patch deployment.
- Multiple years using Active Directory Group Policy.
- Experience with Security products such as Sentinel 1, RSA, PING-Id.
- Experience with Enterprise Application installations from project start to execution.
- Experience with performing Low to High file transfers.
- Experience with enterprise backup solutions like Commvault/Veeam/PPDM/Networker.
- O.S. Deployment skill set for Windows Server.
- A Cyber Security background including any applicable certifications.
- JIRA - ITSM help desk management or SN incident system.
