System Security Engineer 2 - (Security, RMF, NIST 800-53)

Location: Annapolis Junction, Maryland

Description:

Details emphasize system security engineering support, COMSEC/INFOSEC/IA activities, requirements analysis, stakeholder engagement, and security architecture knowledge.

Position Required Skills:
  • Experience with requirements gathering and analysis and client and stakeholder engagement through working groups and technical exchange meetings.
  • Knowledge of system or security architecture.
  • Ability to work both individually and in a team environment in an enterprise-level organization.

Position Desired Skills:
  • Experience with systems engineering.
  • Knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process and NIST 800-53 security controls.
  • Knowledge of a national agency's corporate systems and their implementation of security controls.
  • Knowledge of 800-53 security controls and how to apply them to a system.
  • Ability to assess residual risk based on threat and security control implementation.
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field.

IAS2 Qualifications:

HS diploma or GED plus 6 years of relevant experience.

Salary Range: $189k-$231k (Annually)

The range displayed above is a likely salary range for this position. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possible contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
