Job Description Summary
The System Registry & PROMs Manager reports to the System Director of Data Integrity and serves as the accountable enterprise operational leader for a portfolio of more than 50 clinical registries and the system-wide CMS Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) Liaison Program across MUSC Health. Unlike a single-registry management role, this position designs, implements, and sustains a unified registry operating model spanning hospitals, ambulatory practices, clinical service lines, quality departments, and other system functions. The manager establishes enterprise governance, registry-specific quality and performance metrics, reporting structures, data-integrity standards, productivity expectations, and escalation pathways. The role is accountable for portfolio-level regulatory and accreditation readiness; prioritization of registry resources; consolidated budget, contract, and vendor oversight; workforce planning; and the optimization of registry technology, automation, and artificial intelligence. Working through direct, contracted, and matrixed teams, the manager advises clinical and executive leaders on registry performance, compliance risk, resource allocation, and opportunities to improve quality, safety, outcomes, research, and organizational performance.

A bachelor's degree in Nursing, Health Information Management, Health Administration, Healthcare Quality, Data Analytics, or a related field and a minimum of seven (7) years of progressive healthcare experience are required. The experience must include at least five (5) years leading clinical registry, quality, data-abstraction, clinical-analytics, regulatory-reporting, or related operations, with demonstrated responsibility for multiple concurrent registries or an enterprise clinical-data portfolio, and at least three (3) years of formal leadership or management experience. Experience establishing governance and performance standards across a complex, multi-hospital health system; managing budgets and vendor contracts; leading direct, contracted, and matrixed teams; and presenting recommendations to senior leaders is required. A master's degree in a related field is preferred. The position requires advanced strategic thinking, regulatory and operational judgment, financial stewardship, change leadership, negotiation, and written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across clinical, operational, technology, research, and executive functions.
Continuous requirements are to perform job functions while standing, walking and sitting. Ability to bend at the waist, kneel, climb stairs, reach in all directions, possess good finger dexterity, perform repetitive motions with hands/wrists/elbows and shoulders. Maintain 20/40 vision corrected, see and recognize objects close at hand and at a distance, work in a latex safe environment and work indoors. Frequently lift and/or carry objects weighing 20lbs (+/-) unassisted. Lift from 36 to overhead 15lbs.
