Full Job Description
This hybrid Systems Engineering and Control Account Manager (CAM) position is an exciting opportunity supporting task order execution for the Command and Control Consolidated System within the C?SAR program, based in Colorado Springs, CO. The role combines technical systems engineering responsibilities with programmatic cost, schedule, and scope management, making it ideal for a candidate interested in developing both technical and business/program execution skills.

As part of our engineering team, the candidate will assist with requirements analysis, system design activities, reliability assessments, hardware/software integration support, risk management, and updates to system documentation. This position is well-suited for someone looking to grow their systems engineering abilities through training, mentorship, and hands?on experience while contributing to well-defined technical tasks.

In parallel with engineering duties, the candidate will serve as a Control Account Manager (CAM), responsible for managing Task Order scope, schedule, and cost performance for assigned control accounts in alignment with Earned Value Management (EVM) principles. This includes coordinating with developers, test teams, and onsite user support personnel to track progress, support financial inputs, and ensure program commitments are met.

This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work across both engineering and program execution domains, requiring clear communication skills, strong organizational capability, and the flexibility to adapt to evolving technical and contract requirements.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to
  • Manage scope, schedule, and cost performance for assigned control accounts in alignment with Earned Value Management (EVM) principles.
  • Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, forecasts, and financial performance metrics to support Task Order execution.
  • Coordinate with engineering and program personnel to capture progress, update schedules, and maintain baseline integrity.
  • Prepare variance analyses, corrective action plans, and status reports for leadership and customer reviews
  • Support cost collection activities, including purchase requests, bill-of-materials inputs, and labor tracking.
  • Supporting the C-SAR System Engineering team to ensure all engineering contractual requirements and deliverables are met.
  • Collaborate with developers, test teams, and user support personnel to coordinate system updates and monitor technical progress.
  • Learn and apply systems engineering processes, tools, and best practices through training, mentorship, and hands-on experience
  • Attend and support highly technical engineering team meetings
  • Travel as necessary to attend conferences and customer meetings


  • 5+ years of financial or CAM?related experience, including routine cost?tracking activities
  • BS in SE, CS, EE, ME, or other engineering equivalent
  • Proven experience managing control accounts, including oversight of scope, schedule, and cost performance in accordance with Earned Value Management (EVM) principles.
  • Ability to develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, forecasts, and financial performance metrics to support program decision?making
  • Experience conducting variance analysis, preparing corrective action plans, and communicating performance status to leadership and stakeholders
  • Strong proficiency in developing IMS tasks, tracking resources, and managing associated budget allocations.
  • Ability to translate technical tasks and program requirements into accurate, resource?loaded schedule activities
  • Experience conducting schedule health assessments, preparing status updates, and supporting baseline management
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology
  • Demonstrated aptitude for learning systems engineering concepts, with the ability to develop proficiency through training, guidance, and hands?on instruction.
  • Candidate must be self-motivated and comfortable with supporting multiple groups of developers, engineers, and testers.
  • Candidate must be able to articulate technical concepts orally and in written forms both internally to the team as well as externally to the customer and users.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Relevant CAM and Earned Value Management System (EVMS) training or certification
  • Current and active Secret clearance, must be eligible for TS/SCI

Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Working knowledge of space systems, including ground systems, satellite command and control, and system development processes is a plus.
  • Experience with SCN
  • Experience with AWS / Azure / cloud architecture
  • Experience with SecDevOps processes
  • Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF)
  • Familiarity with Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) is a plus.
  • Model-Based Systems Engineering using Cameo or Enterprise Architect
  • Familiarity with modern IT infrastructure capabilities to include virtualization, cloud deployment and containerization (CNFs)

The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Competitive salary based on experience and education
Salary Range: $120,000-$140,000
