Full Job Description
Kratos Microwave, Inc., a Kratos' company, is looking for a Facilities and Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to work onsite at their Folsom, CA location.

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
The Facilities and Environmental Health and Safety Specialist will ensure the manufacturing facility is safe, compliant, efficient, and fully operational. This position is responsible for performing and/or coordinating maintenance and repairs for the building and production equipment. Role leads all environmental, health and safety programs to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. Individual will be responsible for building compliance and ensuring employees adhere to safety regulations to minimize workplace hazards.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Ensure safety, compliance, and continuous operation of the factory and its personnel
• Perform and document maintenance and repairs on facility systems including electrical, plumbing, lighting, HVAC and general infrastructure.
• Responsible for preventive maintenance of production and building equipment and ensuring service is performed in a timely manner and within budget
• Support all building improvement projects including tenant improvements, expansion projects, manufacturing floor changes, etc.
• Lead and implement EHS programs to ensure compliance with OSHA and other applicable regulations
• Support all facility and safety related audits or inspections Promote strong safety culture. Conduct safety training programs including new employee orientations
• Maintain all records related to EH&S on electronic server including logs, incident reports, training records, and material safety data sheets (MSDS)
• Conduct routine safety audits to identify potential hazards. Document all observations and corrective actions
• Manage hazardous waste disposal and environmental reporting
• Manage and maintain relationships with external partners (i.e. contractors, inspectors, service providers, etc) to ensure timely support of factory in the event of an emergency or production line down event
• Support the installation, operation and maintenance of environmental and manufacturing equipment (i.e. chambers, ovens, automation equipment, machine shop tools, test equipment, etc)
• Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities

• Possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the assigned duties, including computer skills.
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental compliance, safety standards, and state and local regulatory requirements
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, recordkeeping and project management skills
• Maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by company and government requirements.
• Mechanical and technical aptitude to operate and maintain manufacturing equipment
• Communicate and interact effectively with peers, supervisors, and the public, including maintaining respect for others, and following company policies.
• Have a willingness and ability to learn and utilize company technology for company required purposes, including, for example training, reviewing, and signing policies and procedures, benefits enrollment, and changes, and more.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Office and/or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, mouse, phones, use tools/equipment).
