This role is focused on the development of embedded automotive systems and requires an engineer who can think beyond individual components to understand the complete product. You'll work across hardware, electronics, software, validation, functional safety, and cybersecurity teams to develop next-generation automotive technologies from concept through production.

We're looking for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, working with customers, and translating requirements into robust system architectures.

Your mission, roles and responsibilities

What You'll Do
  • Lead systems engineering activities throughout the product development lifecycle, from concept development through production launch.
  • Analyze customer requirements and translate them into system requirements, specifications, and architectures.
  • Develop and manage requirements for hardware and software-based automotive products.
  • Create and maintain system architectures and support requirements decomposition across multiple subsystems.
  • Collaborate with hardware, software, validation, cybersecurity, and functional safety teams to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Support customer discussions, technical reviews, RFQs, and proposal activities.
  • Participate in system-level design reviews, risk assessments, DFMEAs, and technical problem-solving activities.
  • Work directly with OEM customers and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on product expectations and development objectives.
  • Support compliance with automotive development standards including ISO 26262, ASPICE, and Cybersecurity requirements.
  • Utilize systems engineering tools and methodologies to drive product quality and successful program execution.


Your profile and competencies to succeed

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, embedded systems, automotive electronics, or related product development disciplines.
  • Experience developing and managing requirements for embedded electronic products.
  • Experience working across hardware and software development teams.
  • Strong understanding of systems engineering principles, methods, and best practices.
  • Knowledge of automotive communication protocols including CAN, LIN, and Ethernet.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work directly with customers and cross-functional engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting embedded automotive products such as:
  • Infotainment systems (IVI)
  • Displays
  • Instrument clusters
  • Driver Monitoring Systems (DMS)
  • Occupant Monitoring Systems (OMS)
  • Radar systems
  • ADAS technologies
  • Other embedded automotive electronic products

Additional experience that will help you succeed:
  • SysML, UML, or Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
  • IBM DOORS, DOORS NG, Rhapsody, EWM
