Responsibilities

  • Oversee technical aspects and improvements of pharmaceutical process equipment, focusing on spray dryers and tablet manufacturing.
  • Provide hands-on engineering support to manufacturing and quality teams to ensure equipment performance.
  • Perform troubleshooting and downtime analysis for critical cGMP manufacturing equipment.
  • Attend project meetings and assist in managing project activities and documentation.
  • Actively promote safety awareness during engineering and operational activities.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for various process equipment and systems.
  • Support training and development of manufacturing operators on equipment and process changes.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide technical ownership of critical manufacturing equipment. You will support safe, reliable, and high-quality pharmaceutical production while contributing to the delivery of life-changing therapies.

This is a fully site-based role. Working together in person supports close, real-time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.

What you will do
  • Own and support pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment, including spray dryers
  • Provide hands-on engineering support across manufacturing, quality, and reliability teams
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, process, automation, and electrical issues safely
  • Act as a subject matter expert for equipment performance and lifecycle management
  • Support capital projects from design through commissioning and qualification
  • Improve equipment reliability, uptime, and maintainability
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and GMP guidelines
What we are looking for
  • High school diploma or GED required; engineering degree preferred
  • Experience supporting pharmaceutical or biotechnology manufacturing equipment preferred
  • Hands-on experience with capital projects and engineering documentation
  • Strong problem-solving skills using structured troubleshooting methods
  • Experience working with vendors, contractors, and cross-functional teams
  • Working knowledge of automation, controls, or equipment data systems
