Key job responsibilities
As a System Validation Hardware Engineer, you will be part of a team of experts working on the development of advanced Customer Terminal products. You will be responsible for managing the test and validation of PCBA-level hardware across various programs, reporting validation status and failures, and driving long-term test improvement initiatives.
You will own or contribute to the following:
- Develop, execute, and maintain PCBA-level test and validation plans across multiple product programs
- Perform board bring-up, functional testing, and debug of modules and subsystems
- Report and track validation status, test results, and failure analysis across programs
- Consolidate test data from multiple sources and programs, and develop clear presentations and reports to communicate validation status, trends, and risks to stakeholders
- Drive root cause analysis on hardware failures and collaborate with design teams on corrective actions
- Design and improve automated test systems, test fixtures, and factory test solutions
- Support flow-down requirement definitions and generate test plans/procedures aligned to product specifications
- Identify trends in test data and drive long-term test process and coverage improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, manufacturing, quality) to support the transition of designs to mass production
- Evaluate and validate high-speed digital and/or RF circuit performance at the board level
- Support signal and power integrity validation and correlation to simulation models
Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of hardware design and validation of components, subsystems and systems experience
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, material science, physics or equivalent
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience with hardware/software integration and real-time systems
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
