Job Description

The Systems and Development Analyst is responsible for leading quality assurance and testing activities across Human Capital Management (HCM) applications, while also providing systems analysis and production support. This role oversees functional application maintenance, analyzes application and system issues, and recommends and implements corrective actions and system enhancements to meet evolving business and customer requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead testing activities across all phases of the software development lifecycle, including system, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing, ensuring adherence to quality and compliance standards.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute test strategies, test plans, test scripts, documentation, and testing best practices.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective system solutions, configurations, and enhancements.
  • Configure, support, and optimize Oracle Fusion applications, integrations, interfaces, and related system functionality with appropriate business approval.
  • Manage defect resolution by troubleshooting issues, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions to ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Support system implementations, upgrades, patches, data conversions, migrations, and release management activities.
  • Provide technical expertise and input to support project planning, estimation, and execution efforts.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert by facilitating requirements gathering, solution design, testing, training, and ongoing user support.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, project teams, vendors, and leadership to communicate project status, manage risks, and deliver reporting, analytics, and compliance-related requirements.
  • Provide day-to-day application support, including ensuring data accuracy, maintaining system configurations and parameters, monitoring production processes and controls, supporting workflow functionality, and communicating system issues and changes to end users.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness and timeliness of application support activities, identify opportunities for process improvement, and recommend solutions to increase efficiency.
  • Perform additional duties, responsibilities, and special projects as assigned.


Qualifications

This is a multi-level posting. Candidates may be considered for any of the posted levels, depending on their level of experience and depth of expertise.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. (Candidates without a bachelor's degree typically require four years of progressively responsible related experience).
  • Previous work experience in a related functional or technical area and/or comparable internship or collegiate experience for a sys and development Analyst 1.
  • Two or more years of work experience in a related functional or technical area for a sys and development Analyst 2.
  • Five or more years of work experience in a related functional or technical area for a sys and development Analyst 3.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting Human Capital Management (HCM) applications.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience leading testing initiatives for enterprise applications and systems.
  • Experience with software implementations, system upgrades, application integrations, and enterprise HCM platforms such as Oracle HCM Cloud.
  • Experience in business systems analysis, application configuration, software development, and integration technologies.
  • Experience in test strategy development, test planning, defect management, quality assurance, user acceptance testing, and use of Azure DevOps or comparable testing and project-tracking tools.
  • Experience supporting Human Resources business processes and modules, including Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, Talent Management, and Time & Labor, with a strong understanding of HR, Information Technology, and Business Administration disciplines.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, Windows operating environments, relational databases, and testing tools.
  • Demonstrated functional and technical expertise in one or more application areas, with strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, customer relationship management, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks, projects, and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
