The SVP, Technology PMO serves as the operational backbone of the Technology organization, connecting strategy, execution, financial performance, and business outcomes. This role leads enterprise-scale programs, portfolio governance, budgeting, and resource planning while building the structure and rigor needed to deliver technology initiatives predictably and effectively.

Core Responsibilities

Program, Portfolio & Project Management
  • Own the coordinated portfolio of Technology programs, projects, and central initiatives
  • Establish consistent governance, planning standards, and operating rhythms
  • Maintain access to priorities, timelines, achievements, dependencies, risks, resources, and outcomes
  • Drive execution across complex cross-functional initiatives and ensure issues are brought up and resolved quickly
  • Maintain a consolidated Technology roadmap and support prioritization, sequencing, and prioritisation decisions

Technology Finance & Planning
  • Lead Technology budgeting, forecasting, and financial oversight in collaboration with Finance
  • Maintain access to budget, forecast, actual spend, commitments, and variances
  • Partner with Technology leaders to manage financial performance across functions and central initiatives
  • Support annual planning, reforecasting, investment cases, and capital and operating expense management
  • Identify financial risks, trends, and opportunities and ensure appropriate action is taken

Executive Governance & Reporting
  • Provide clear, focused reporting on portfolio, financial, and execution performance
  • Establish operating rhythms for Technology leadership, portfolio reviews, and long-term planning
  • Maintain a consistent source of truth for major initiatives, commitments, risks, and financial performance
  • Ensure executive decisions, actions, and accountabilities are detailed and driven through completion
  • Provide the CTO and Technology Leadership Team with concise insights required for effective decision-making

Technology Value & Outcomes
  • Partner with sponsors to establish measurable objectives and encouraged outcomes for strategic Technology investments
  • Track encouraged versus delivered outcomes
  • Improve linkage between Technology investment, execution performance, and measurable business value

PMO Leadership
  • Build and lead a high-performing Technology PMO
  • Develop program and project managers who function as execution leaders
  • Establish scalable tools, standards, and delivery practices
  • Build a culture of urgency, transparency, ownership, and accountability

Accountability
  • Consistency in Technology program and project delivery
  • Transparency and condition of the Technology portfolio
  • Technology budget, forecast, actuals, and financial transparency
  • Efficiency of portfolio prioritization and resource planning
  • Early identification and resolution of delivery and financial risks
  • Quality of executive reporting and Technology operating cadence
  • Functioning of the Technology PMO

Leadership Profile & Qualifications
  • 15+ years of experience in technology program management, portfolio management, transformation, consulting, or technology delivery
  • Experience leading enterprise-scale Technology programs and portfolios
  • Robust experience in Technology budgeting, forecasting, and financial oversight
  • Strong executive governance, organizational coordination, and collaborator management skills
  • Ability to synthesize complex information into clear priorities, decisions, and actions
  • Strong operator who builds structure and accountability without unnecessary bureaucracy
  • Financial services or other regulated-industry experience preferred

The base salary range for this position is $135,000-$175,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
