Overview

We are looking for a Senior Vice President to join our award-winning agency in providing strategic earned media counsel while crafting some of the most creative and compelling storylines across our corporate portfolio. We are primarily looking for a candidate who can work with business and 'corpsumer' media and has an understanding of the current media landscape and what it takes to tell a company's story today. This person isn't afraid to think outside-the box and will have deeply rooted media connections across tier one outlets.

Responsibilities

Client Management Responsibilities:
• Serve as senior counsel to designated clients and account teams
• Develop a consultative relationship between team members, account teams and key client contacts to include regular and proactive one-on-one interactions, and direct correspondence with teams and clients
• Ability to quickly synthesize what it takes to make a story mediable and in a fast changing landscape • Have an established network of relationships and contacts across the corporate and business landscapeSecure placements in tier one outlets across print, online, broadcast and new media formats
• Willingness to travel for client media engagements

Leadership:
• Play a leadership role on the media specialty team, helping to shape the agency perspective on media relations and strategy as an agency media expert.
• Play a leadership role with the Earned Media Team both in the office and virtually to reinforce the values of our team
• Internally and externally increase visibility for best practices, trends, developments in media relations
• Willingness to manage team members and to mentor staff across teams
• Nurture and foster media relationships and proactively share feedback and insights with clients and teams.
• Responsible for managing feedback, expectations and results for projects with assigned practices, and for continuing to evolve and establish feedback standards

Business Development:
• Seek incremental business opportunities with existing account teams/clients
• Function as a key player in pursuing new business opportunities and in leading the media strategy portion of the proposal and presentation processes.

Qualifications

We're looking for required skills, and they can come from any combination of education and experience. Diversity of thought and background are encouraged. Typical qualifications include:
• BS/BA degree in marketing, media, communications, business or related field and a minimum of twelve years of combined public relations, marketing communications, or media experience.
• Demonstrated success in senior level media relations including a strategic understanding of all channels (including social media, video, and content partnerships) in relation to media mix. Ability to quickly become knowledgeable of Ketchum's proprietary tools and apply those tools and technology to client work.
• Ability to share media related insights and trends with teams and clients in order to mobilize, develop and motivate.
• Strong quantitative and analytical abilities.
• Proven ability to make a professional and positive impression with senior management within client organizations.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, meet deadlines and keep manager and team effectively updated on task progress.
• Excellent verbal, written, project management and presentation skills.

The salary range for this position is $180,000 to $220,000. This position may be bonus eligible depending on individual employee performance and Ketchum business performance. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, education, years of experience, past training, skills and abilities of applicant, internal equity and local geographic market data. A range of medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and/or other benefits also are available.$180,000 to $220,000

Omnicom's policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager. Our objective is to increase this requirement over time, and many of our agencies as well as Omnicom's corporate group already require five days of in-office attendance.
