Full Job Description
We are looking to identify a talented sustainability with a personal and professional interest in executing sustainability on large construction projects. This individual will be responsible for implementing sustainability on a highly visible, state-of-the-art project in Dallas, TX. This is a great opportunity for a candidate interested in making a positive impact on the largest construction project currently in Texas.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Lead the successful implementation of green building certifications on construction projects including LEED, SITES, and the City of Dallas Comprehensive Environmental and Climate Action Plan (CECAP).
- Develop and implement construction sustainability plans including construction waste management, construction indoor air quality, and construction stormwater.
- Perform regular job-site inspections documenting compliance with the requirements of these and other sustainability plans.
- Develop and maintain forms, templates, and procedures required for the successful delivery of green building certification, including preparing applications and documentation for submittal to certifying agency and response to comments.
- Lead green building certification coordination meetings, both internal and client-facing, and develop reports necessary to communicate status of sustainability program.
- Participate in the pre-construction process and advise on construction phase feasibility, cost, and schedule impact for specific strategy / credit achievement.
- Contribute to development of sustainability elements of project budget and Change Order Management.
- Manage tracking and reporting of job-site carbon emissions and water consumption.
- Manage process and requirements as related to submittal review, inspections, and completion of final documentation as required by sustainability rating system or contractual obligations.
- Ensure drawings and specifications properly relate to sustainability rating systems and programs, review contract drawings and subcontract information.
- Participate in Subcontractor Trade Coordination meetings, Preconstruction meetings (e.g., project launch), and submittal review meetings.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- BA/BS Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Sustainability, Environmental or relevant curriculum and 6 years of construction experience in a sustainability role or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- LEED Accreditation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree or experience focusing on construction sustainability or related practices
- Experience with embodied carbon accounting
- Experience in construction administration and/or management
- Strong knowledge of applicable codes and sustainability-focused regulations
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Experience with construction project documentation and applicable software packages.
- Microsoft Office proficiency.
