What We Need:

The Sustainability Manager is a leading performer that focuses on enhancing Sustainability performance through leading engineering projects and programs. This role will focus on improving environmental performance, promoting sustainable engineering practices, and ensuring compliance with relevant environmental regulations.

What You'll do:

  • Design and implement engineering solutions to enhance sustainability and reduce the environmental impact of the company's operations.

  • Conduct technical assessments and feasibility studies for new sustainability initiatives.

  • Develop and optimize processes to increase energy efficiency, minimize waste, and reduce emissions.

  • Lead the execution of comprehensive Sustainability programs and initiatives that align with the company's strategic objectives.

  • Identify and prioritize Sustainability projects, including energy efficiency, waste reduction, water conservation, and carbon footprint reduction.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability into business operations and decision-making processes.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Manufacturing, Procurement, and R&D, to ensure sustainability is integrated into all aspects of the business.

  • Foster strong relationships with suppliers and partners to promote sustainable sourcing and practices.

  • Coordinate with Marketing and Communications teams to highlight sustainability achievements and initiatives.

  • Collect, analyze, and report on sustainability metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Prepare and present sustainability reports to internal and external stakeholders, including senior management.

  • Monitor progress towards Sustainability goals and recommend actions for continuous improvement.

  • Stay abreast of sustainability trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.

  • Identify opportunities for innovation and enhancement of sustainability practices.

  • Lead cross-functional teams in Sustainability projects and initiatives.

  • Perform other duties as needed.


What You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field preferred.

  • 4-6 years' relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Requires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline.

  • Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.

  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.

  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data.

  • Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products.

  • Flexible attitude, adaptable to change, team player, and able to handle multiple projects at once.

  • High degree of professionalism, judgment, maturity, and resourcefulness in the absence of formalized guidelines and procedures.


What Else?

  • Temporary indirect reporting relationships may exist while working as Project lead. May be required to act in senior role, providing task related advise and direction to junior team members.

  • Occasional exposure to hazardous conditions caused by noise, moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and other conditions associated with a high-traffic production floor.

  • Must be able to walk long distances and stand for long periods of time.

  • Bending, crouching, and stooping may be required.

  • Must be able to work in non-climate-controlled facilities.

  • The work environment may be a noisy, high traffic manufacturing production floor.

  • May be required to work a flexible schedule to include evening and night shifts, weekends, and holidays.

  • The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day.

  • The ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.
