Full Job Description
As a Survey Technician - CADD Tech, you will help deliver accurate survey and mapping work that supports field operations and keeps infrastructure projects moving safely and efficiently. In this role, you'll partner with field crews, project managers, and project surveyors to prepare mapping deliverables, perform calculations, review plans, and support quality work from office to field. This is a full-time, non-exempt position based in Redmond, Washington.

Core Responsibilities
• Create and update survey and mapping deliverables, including record maps, ALTA maps, parcel maps, and topographic surveys.
• Prepare project materials for field crews, including record research, field crew prep, and data support.
• Perform survey design work and calculations in AutoCAD/Civil 3D to support mapping and construction-related survey projects.
• Partner closely with project managers and project surveyors to support boundary analysis, retracement work, and project execution.
• Review project design plans for consistency, prepare RFIs, and maintain organized logs of changes, questions, and responses.
• Support quality control by reducing field notes, downloading data collectors, checking survey data, and preparing technical calculations and reports for project needs.
You'll thrive here if you have
• At least 3 years of experience using AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
• A solid understanding of surveying principles, control networks, and engineering plan reading.
• Strong math, critical thinking, and written/verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with everyday business tools, including Word and Excel.
• A valid driver's license and the ability to meet hiring requirements, including background screening and drug testing.
• Bonus points for experience with MicroStation (InRoads/OpenRoads), StarNet, Leica office software, laser scanning/point clouds, LiDAR, or field survey equipment such as total stations, GPS, and levels. LSIT or EIT certification is also a plus.
• The ability to travel up to 25% as project needs require.
