Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Surgery Nurse at SJHMC, you will work in our twelve-room OR suite which maintains a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio, this enables us to form close relationships with patients and their families during very difficult times. We also feature a 44-bay multi-level PACU with staff dedicated to trauma and other emergency cases. Our PACU features a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio. Throughout the unit we are committed to using the latest technology, affording staff the opportunity to constantly learn and enhance their skills. As a Level I Trauma Center, we are operational 24/7.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Assist surgeon and surgical team in the OR
