Full Job Description
Position Snapshot
Gorilla Commerce is seeking a highly analytical, self-directedSupply Planning Manager to own the accuracy, rigor, and strategic direction of the analytical tools, models, and reporting solutions that our Planning team relies on to make critical decisions. This role is ideal for a supply planning expert with strong command of core planning fundamentals - demand and supply variability, lead time, safety stock methodology, and the trade-offs involved in inventory planning - and the analytical and modeling rigor to translate that expertise into scalable solutions for a rapidly growing business. With a department focus on optimizing inventory levels, improving supply accuracy, and streamlining planning strategies, you will create solutions that enhance visibility, strengthen inventory strategies, and drive operational efficiency across the supply chain. This is currently an individual-contributor role, with the potential to build and lead a team as the supply planning analytics function scales.
What You'll Do
Supply Planning Analytics & Decision Support
  • Own the design, development, automation, and continuous improvement of analytical models, dashboards, and decision-support tools that enable Supply Planning to make faster, smarter, and more informed business decisions.
  • Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and operational inefficiencies impacting supply planning, inventory investment, and customer service.
  • Develop analytical frameworks that improve inventory investment decisions, replenishment strategies, service levels, and working capital performance.
  • Translate complex analytical findings into clear business insights, recommendations, and actionable planning decisions for cross-functional partners.
  • Continuously enhance existing analytical tools and reporting capabilities to improve usability, accuracy, scalability, and business value.
Supply Planning Models & Optimization
  • Develop scenario planning, and optimization models that improve supply planning effectiveness and support proactive business decision making.
  • Build analytical tools that improve inventory planning workflows, replenishment strategies, and operational visibility across all channels.
  • Conduct scenario modeling and supply-demand analyses that allow the business to evaluate alternative planning strategies before decisions are made.
  • Develop and maintain analytical logic, guardrails, and planning models that support inventory investment decisions, safety stock strategies, purchasing recommendations, and supply planning execution.
  • Apply strong planning fundamentals-including demand and supply variability, lead times, safety stock methodologies, service-level tradeoffs, and inventory investment principles-to improve planning recommendations.
Business Analytics, Performance & Continuous Improvement
  • Establish and continuously improve key planning metrics, dashboards, and analytical frameworks that measure inventory health, service levels, forecast alignment, inventory investment, and supply performance.
  • Perform root cause analysis to explain changes in planning performance and recommend corrective actions that improve future business outcomes.
  • Leverage existing datasets to build scalable analytical solutions that improve planning visibility and decision quality.
  • Validate, interpret, and transform data from multiple business systems to ensure analytical outputs accurately reflect business conditions.
  • Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives that simplify recurring analytical activities and improve team productivity.
  • Document analytical models, assumptions, business logic, and workflows to support adoption, governance, and long-term sustainability.
Cross-Functional Partnership & Planning Capability
  • Partner closely with Demand Planning, Sourcing, Logistics, Commercial, Finance, and Technology teams to understand business needs and develop analytical solutions that improve planning decisions.
  • Challenge assumptions through data-driven analysis and provide objective recommendations that improve inventory investment, supply planning, and operational performance.
  • Gather stakeholder feedback and continuously refine analytical models, dashboards, and planning tools to support evolving business priorities.
  • Serve as a strategic business partner who uses analytics to influence planning decisions-not simply report historical performance.
  • Contribute to the continuous evolution of the Supply Planning capability by identifying new analytical opportunities, improving planning methodologies, and enabling scalable decision-making processes.

What You'll Bring
  • 5+ years of dedicated supply planning experience, ideally as a Senior Supply Chain Analyst (or equivalent) within a larger organization, with exposure to mature planning processes, systems, and analytical rigor.
  • Demonstrated mastery of core supply planning fundamentals, including demand and supply variability, lead time, safety stock methodology, and the trade-offs inherent in inventory planning decisions.
  • Proven experience independently owning and leading the design, development, and enhancement of analytics, reporting, and decision-support tools within a supply chain or inventory environment, with accountability for the accuracy and rigor of planning models.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or Operations Research, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics or Statistics, Business, or a related field.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Excel is required, with the ability to build complex formulas, and automated analytical tools.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to structure, interpret, and draw insights from large, complex datasets while moving fluidly between low-level detail and high-level conclusions.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, modeling and optimization techniques, with experience developing automated reporting solutions and dashboards.
  • Familiarity with supply planning and forecasting systems (e.g., NetSuite, Toolio) and the ability to leverage system outputs to inform decision-making.
  • Experience with advanced data science tools or programming languages (such as Python or R) is preferred but not required.
  • Detail-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset, consistently identifying opportunities to refine tools, processes, and analytical approaches.
  • Ability to translate business needs into effective technical or analytical solutions, ensuring tools and insights directly support decision-making.
  • Excellent critical thinking and sound judgment, with the capability to navigate ambiguity and make objective, well-reasoned decisions.
  • Skilled at structuring analytical outputs into clear, actionable insights that guide partners toward informed business actions.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to distill complex analysis into clear, actionable insights for business partners.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative abilities, building effective partnerships with cross-functional teams.
  • Operates effectively as an individual contributor today, with the interest and capability to build and lead a team as the supply planning analytics function grows.
  • Communicates with clarity and adaptability, tailoring messaging and presentation style to different audiences.
  • Works confidently in a highly ambiguous, fast-changing environment, while independently maintaining focus and driving tasks to completion.
  • Demonstrates strong time-management and prioritization skills, effectively balancing multiple priorities while consistently delivering high-quality results on schedule.
  • Shows agility and adaptability, anticipating change and responding quickly with clear, purposeful action.
  • Holds self accountable to clear standards and commitments, fostering reliability and trust across cross-functional teams.
  • Brings a creative, solution-oriented mindset, introducing innovative ideas that improve processes, solve problems, and elevate outcomes
