Full Job Description
Capgemini Government Solutions (CGS) LLC is seeking highly motivated Supply Chain Modeling and Operations Research Analyst to join our team to support our government clients. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to improve supply chains, processes, decision-making, optimize processes, and solve complex operational problems for our clients. The candidate will join our Data and Artificial Intelligence practice in the DC Metro Area.

Job Responsibilities

As a Supply Chain Modeling and Operations Research Analyst, you will:
  • Formulate and applying mathematical models, simulations, and other optimizing methods to develop and interpret information that assist with supply chains, processes, decision-making, policy formulation, and/or other management functions as needed
  • Aid in the collection and analysis of various data and in the development of decision support software, services, or products
  • Develop and supply optimal time, cost, or logistics networks for program evaluation, review, or implementation
  • Conduct research and evaluate business intelligence and data analysis software, database management and query software, geographic information systems, object or component-oriented development software and technologies to support client operations
  • Leverage various data management tools and applications, including but not limited to MS Excel, Access, Power BI, Qlik, and Tableau to create innovative reports, analytics, and visualizations
  • Support project management activities

Required Qualifications:
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain Government Security Clearance.
  • Be at client site full time in Washington, DC
  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in operations research, business intelligence, statistics, math, engineering, information systems, computer science, information management, finance, business, analytics, or similar field preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of professional experiences (relevant advanced degrees may substitute equivalent number of years) with operations research responsibilities such as:
    • Developing simulation or predictive models to analyze and optimize supply chains, processes, operations, procurements, staffing, and logistics
    • Data collection and mining to identify trends, bottlenecks, and risks regarding supply chains, processes, data quality, and operations
    • Scenario formulation, analysis, and testing to identify courses of action to achieve optimal outcomes
    • Leveraging Discrete Event Simulation and Logistics Optimization tools to analyze operations and inform decisions
    • Maintaining and enhancing models including supporting documentation, continuous improvement, and trouble shooting
    • Visualizing and presenting analysis, research, and recommendations
  • Experience using programming in languages such as Python, R, Scala, SQL, JavaScript, C/C++, and Java
  • Advanced proficiency with Discrete Event Simulation and Logistics Optimizations tools such as AnyLogic and SimPy
  • Proficiency with data analytics and development tools such as GitHub, Databricks, ArcGIS, Palantir Foundry, and Power BI
  • Advanced proficiency in basic desktop applications, including MS office (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point, etc.).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong curiosity and ability to quickly improve efficiency and effectiveness in new tasks
  • Ability to multi-task and stay flexible in a dynamic work environment


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Active DHS, DOD, or DOJ clearance

This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission. Full time regular employees are eligible for paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.
