Are you a strategic, hands-on supply chain leader who can turn business plans into reliable execution? voestalpine Roll Forming Corporation (RFC) is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to lead and optimize purchasing, materials management, inventory control, production planning coordination, supplier performance, and logistics. You will partner across Commercial, Operations, Finance, Quality, Engineering, and S&OP to ensure materials flow efficiently, customer demand is supported, and supply chain performance continues to improve.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Lead purchasing, material planning, production scheduling, inventory control, logistics, and related supply chain activities.
  • Translate the approved S&OP demand and supply plan into executable purchasing, material, inventory, and production schedules.
  • Partner cross-functionally to align priorities, constraints, customer commitments, and execution plans.
  • Ensure material availability and production readiness while proactively identifying and escalating supply, capacity, quality, and logistics risks.
  • Develop sourcing and supplier strategies that improve cost, quality, delivery, responsiveness, and continuity of supply.
  • Lead supplier performance through scorecards, business reviews, corrective actions, risk assessments, and supplier development plans.
  • Optimize inventory policies and controls to reduce excess, obsolete, slow-moving, and inaccurate inventory while supporting service requirements.
  • Drive improvements in inventory turns, days inventory outstanding, purchase price performance, premium freight, material shortages, and supplier on-time delivery.
  • Support working capital objectives through inventory optimization, improved payment terms, order-quantity strategies, and disciplined material flow.
  • Maintain effective planning parameters, lead times, safety stocks, reorder points, and ERP/MRP master data.
  • Oversee cycle counts, inventory accuracy, inbound and outbound logistics, freight performance, carrier relationships, and corrective actions.
  • Develop contingency plans for critical materials and suppliers, including alternate sourcing and business continuity actions.
  • Establish standard work, policies, performance dashboards, and accountability routines across the supply chain function.
  • Lead continuous improvement using lean principles and build team capability through coaching, development, succession planning, and cross-training.


WHAT YOU BRING

Experience

  • Seven or more years of progressive experience in supply chain, materials management, purchasing, production planning, logistics, or manufacturing operations.
  • Three or more years of leadership or supervisory experience, preferably in a multi-site manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing suppliers, inventory, ERP/MRP planning, production schedules, logistics, and supply disruptions.
  • Proven success improving supply chain KPIs, customer delivery, inventory performance, cost, and working capital.
  • Experience supporting a formal S&OP process and converting approved plans into executable actions is preferred.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing, structured problem solving, and continuous improvement is preferred.


Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related field is preferred.
  • An associate degree with at least seven years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma with at least ten years of relevant experience, will also be considered.
  • APICS CPIM or CSCP, CPSM, Lean Six Sigma, or a comparable professional certification is preferred.


Technical Skills

  • Strong working knowledge of purchasing, material planning, production scheduling, inventory control, logistics, supplier management, and manufacturing operations.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP and MRP systems; Global Shop Solutions experience is preferred.
  • Advanced Excel and data-analysis skills, plus proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and business intelligence or reporting tools.
  • Ability to interpret demand, supply, inventory, capacity, cost, and service data and turn analysis into timely decisions.
  • Working knowledge of lean manufacturing, root-cause analysis, continuous improvement, and supply chain risk management.
  • Strong negotiation, supplier relationship management, and commercial judgment.


Soft Skills

  • Leadership skills that build accountability, develop employees, resolve conflict, and drive cross-functional execution.
  • Clear verbal, written, and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate risks, tradeoffs, and recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Collaborative approach to working with internal teams, customers, and suppliers across multiple locations.
  • Strong organization, prioritization, and project-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities accurately and on time.
  • Sound judgment and urgency during supply disruptions, balanced with appropriate controls and escalation discipline.


Additional Requirements

  • Valid driver's license and an insurable driving record.
  • Ability to travel between RFC locations and to suppliers, generally up to 20% of the time.
  • Ability to work onsite in Shelbyville, Kentucky, or Jeffersonville, Indiana, with occasional flexibility to work from home.
  • Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR/EAR requirements.
