Full Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead global procurement, sourcing, inventory, and logistics operations for a growing company. This role will drive supply chain strategy, optimize costs and working capital, strengthen global supplier relationships, and ensure reliable material availability for manufacturing.

This is a full-time role, based in the office in Calgary, AB.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the overall strategy and execution of procurement, inventory, sourcing, and global logistics.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop Purchasing and Inventory teams; establish KPIs, policies, and SOPs.
  • Develop and manage strategic supplier relationships, particularly across China and Asia.
  • Source raw materials, specialized components, and subcontract manufacturing services.
  • Lead complex contract negotiations, including MSAs and CAPEX agreements.
  • Develop supplier diversification and contingency strategies to ensure material availability.
  • Develop inventory strategies that balance Just-in-Time requirements, safety stock, and working capital.
  • Manage international logistics, including imports/exports, customs, tariffs, brokerage, and LTL/FTL transportation.
  • Optimize total landed costs while maintaining quality, service, and production requirements.
  • Provide executive leadership with actionable supply chain, operational, and financial insights.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of progressive supply chain experience, including 3+ years in a leadership/management role within industrial, manufacturing, energy, or related sectors.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; SCMP strongly preferred.
  • Deep expertise in Asian sourcing, particularly procurement, subcontract manufacturing, and raw material/component sourcing in China.
  • Strong end-to-end expertise in procurement, inventory management, and inventory controls.
  • Proven experience with global logistics, imports/exports, customs, tariffs, taxes, and landed-cost optimization.
  • Expert contract development, review, negotiation, and vendor management skills.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to present complex supply chain and financial information to executive leadership.
  • Mandarin or Cantonese fluency is a strong asset.
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally, including travel to Asia.
