Full Job Description
We are looking for a Supply Chain Manager to own instock management across all AB Services GPO (Global Procurement Organization) sites. This role sits at the intersection of data, operations, and supplier management. The candidate is responsible for the Target Inventory Positions (TIPs) that drive automated ordering, the root cause analysis that resolves stockouts, and the dashboards and reports that give leadership visibility into inventory health.

This is not a maintenance role. The person in this seat will help build the systems, processes, and data foundations that make ABServ's supply chain scalable - including a TIP automation initiative, proactive OOS alerting, cold start forecasting for new customer launches, and the early-stage work toward a forward-deployed inventory model. If you want to own something end-to-end at a company investing heavily in managed services as a growth vector, this is the role

Key job responsibilities

Define and own the inventory positioning strategy across ABServ's managed location portfolio - establishing the frameworks, targets, and review cadences that determine how much inventory is held at every site, for every product, at every point in time

Lead root cause investigation and systemic resolution when supply chain performance falls short - diagnosing failures across ordering, fulfillment, operations, and supplier execution, distinguishing one-time events from structural gaps, and driving cross-functional fixes that prevent recurrence

Own the instock and availability narrative for leadership - translating complex, multi-variable supply chain signals into clear, decision-ready insights that inform strategic choices, not just report on the past

Build and own the new customer launch planning framework - defining the forecasting methodology, cross-functional intake process, and planning infrastructure that makes onboarding new customers repeatable and scalable, replacing ad hoc coordination with a documented, durable process

Drive automation of manual and reactive supply chain workflows - identifying where judgment-dependent processes can be replaced by data-driven systems, building the business requirements, and partnering with BI and Engineering to ship them

Build the metrics, alerts, and mechanisms that give the team proactive visibility into inventory risk - defining what signals matter, what thresholds should trigger action, and who owns the response

Own the ASIN prioritization framework - defining how inventory risk is classified across the catalog, how coverage targets are differentiated, and how the business decides where to invest most deeply in supply continuity

Develop and deepen cross-functional partnerships across Business Development, Operations, Vendor Management, Engineering, and Analytics - building the working relationships and shared processes that make supply chain execution possible at scale

A day in the life

In your first 60 days: You have a clear, data-backed view of ABServ's inventory health - what is working, what is fragile, and where the structural gaps are. You have assessed the inherited project portfolio and have a sequenced point of view on what to build first and why. You own the weekly leadership narrative and present it with confidence, not just data.

At 3 months: At least one significant manual or reactive process has become automated or proactive. The cold start forecasting framework is live and used for every new customer launch. You have built a functional cross-functional working model with BD, Operations, Vendor Management, and Engineering - and those partners know who to call when something breaks.

At 6 months: The supply chain layer runs with forward visibility, not just backward reporting. Inventory risks are surfaced and addressed before they become customer-visible failures. New customer launches follow a repeatable, documented playbook that does not depend on any single person's knowledge. Leadership has structured, predictive insight into supply chain health that did not exist when you arrived.

About the team

The AB Services team was established in Q2 2022 as a key enabler of turnkey managed services solutions - reducing customer costs, improving operational efficiency, and freeing bandwidth for customers to focus on their core business. ABServ delivers across a portfolio of deployment models: vending machines stocked with the PPE, IT peripherals, and MRO supplies employees need every day; shelf-ready programs that keep supply rooms and break rooms continuously replenished; and end-to-end site launch readiness that ensures every new customer location is operationally live from Day 1.

You will be part of the team responsible for the supply chain intelligence layer that makes all of this possible. You will work with automated ordering systems, data infrastructure, and cross-functional partners to keep hundreds of managed locations in stock across a growing national footprint. You will help redefine what B2B managed inventory looks like at scale - building the processes, frameworks, and mechanisms that make this model reliable and repeatable, and delivering a customer experience where the right product is always available when someone needs it.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics or related field

- 5+ years of supply chain, forecasting, manufacturing, sourcing/procurement, or vendor management experience

- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

- Knowledge of SQL at an intermediate level, including: compile queries, subqueries, aggregation/grouping, data modification, etc.

- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience

- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
