POSITION SUMMARY:

The Supply Chain Manager collaboratively leads end-to-end supply chain, logistics, warehouse, inventory, and distribution operations to deliver strong performance across safety, quality, cost, service, and delivery. This role combines strategic planning with hands-on execution to ensure efficient material flow from suppliers through internal storage and outbound fulfillment to domestic and international customers.

The ideal candidate is an analytical, results-driven leader who can develop operating plans, improve inventory accuracy, optimize warehouse performance, support SIOP and capacity planning, with focus on safety, continuous improvement, customer service, and cost effectiveness.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead planning, shipping, receiving, optical fiber inventory, warehouse operations, and distribution to ensure accurate, timely, and cost-effective delivery.
  • Define and execute supply chain and operating strategies aligned with business, commercial, and divisional objectives.
  • Partner with demand management, commercial forecasting, product line, operations, logistics, procurement, and customer-facing teams to support SIOP, operating plans, and long-term capacity planning.
  • Manage inbound and outbound logistics, including freight coordination, product dispatch, shipping/receiving execution, and order fulfillment with our 3PL partners.
  • Optimize flow layouts, space utilization, storage methods, picking/packing, and material flow to improve velocity and operational efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain inventory plans, scorecards, KPIs, cycle counts, audits, and control processes that improve accuracy, turns, service levels, and cost performance.
  • Identify root causes of delivery, inventory, and warehouse performance gaps and lead corrective actions to reduce risk and meet operating targets.
  • Utilize ERP, MRP, WMS, Excel, and inventory tracking tools to manage shipping, receiving, order, warehouse, and inventory data.
  • Lead, coach, schedule, train, and develop warehouse, logistics, distribution, inventory, and supply chain personnel.
  • Ensure policies, procedures, standard work, safety protocols, facility security, regulatory compliance, and equipment maintenance practices are followed.
  • Communicate performance, initiatives, opportunities, changes, risks, and corrective actions clearly to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered where appropriate.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive supply chain, logistics, warehouse, distribution, inventory, or operations experience across multiple supply chain disciplines.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to manage, coach, direct, develop employees and collaborate.
  • Experience developing and managing operational KPIs, performance scorecards, continuous improvement plans, and project deliverables.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, logistics execution, freight coordination, and customer fulfillment.
  • ERP/MRP/WMS and Microsoft Excel proficiency, with strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, negotiation, and cross-functional project management skills.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • APICS certification such as CPIM or CSCP.
  • Experience with distribution center start-up, expansion, relocation, or warehouse network optimization.
  • Experience supporting SIOP, demand planning, capacity planning, commercial launches, or international distribution.
  • Experience applying JIT, VMI, cycle counting, root-cause analysis, or other inventory control and continuous improvement tools.

The range for this position is $135,540.00 - $186,368.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
