Position Overview

The Supply Chain Director is a senior leadership role responsible for developing and executing comprehensive supply chain strategies that optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure seamless operations across procurement, logistics, inventory management, and distribution networks.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Leadership
  • Develop and implement end-to-end supply chain strategies aligned with organizational goals and growth objectives
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing supply chain team across multiple functions
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to forecast demand, plan capacity, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure supply chain effectiveness

Operations Management
  • Oversee procurement, vendor management, warehousing, inventory control, and distribution operations
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers, logistics providers, and other partners to secure favorable terms and ensure reliability
  • Optimize inventory levels to balance service levels with working capital requirements
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and safety protocols

Process Improvement & Technology
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs
  • Drive adoption of supply chain technologies, automation, and data analytics tools
  • Lead digital transformation initiatives including ERP systems, warehouse management systems, and supply chain planning software

Risk Management & Problem Solving
  • Develop contingency plans and risk mitigation strategies for supply chain disruptions
  • Resolve complex supply chain issues affecting production, customer satisfaction, or financial performance
  • Monitor market trends, geopolitical factors, and industry changes that may impact operations


Qualifications

Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field
  • 6+ years of progressive supply chain experience with at least 2 years in leadership roles
  • Proven track record of managing complex, multi-site supply chain operations
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision making
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management abilities

Preferred
  • Master's degree (MBA or MS in Supply Chain Management)
  • Professional certifications such as CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) or CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management)
  • Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
  • International supply chain experience and knowledge of global trade regulations
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and supply chain analytics platforms
