Director of Supply Chain - Harrison, OH

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Supply Chain to lead our end-to-end supply chain organization, including sourcing, supplier management, planning, inventory control, materials management, and SIOP execution. Position Summary and Purpose:

The Director of Supply Chain provides end-to-end leadership for Cincinnati Incorporated's supply chain organization, including strategic sourcing, supplier management, purchasing, materials management, inventory control, planning, scheduling, and SIOP execution. This role is responsible for ensuring material availability, optimizing working capital, developing strategic supplier partnerships, and building scalable processes that support operational excellence, growth, and customer delivery commitments. Success in this role requires balancing customer commitments, manufacturing capacity, and supplier constraints within a highly configurable industrial equipment environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL:
• Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management

o Develop and execute sourcing strategies that support cost, quality, delivery, and risk objectives.

o Lead supplier selection, negotiations, contract management, and supplier performance programs.

o Establish supplier scorecards and conduct regular business reviews with key suppliers.

o Develop and execute supply risk mitigation and business continuity plans.

o Identify and drive total cost reduction opportunities.

o Partner with Engineering and Operations on supplier development and localization initiatives.
• Planning, Materials & Internal Supply Chain

o Own the Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) process, facilitating alignment between Sales, Operations, Engineering, Finance, and Supply Chain to translate demand into executable supply plans.

o Lead materials management, master scheduling, production planning, inventory control, receiving, and warehousing functions.

o Ensure material availability to support production schedules while optimizing inventory investment.

o Drive improvements in inventory accuracy, planning parameters, safety stock strategies, and replenishment methodologies.

o Monitor and improve key planning metrics including schedule attainment, forecast accuracy, inventory turns, and service levels.

o Balance customer demand, manufacturing capacity, and material constraints to support on-time delivery.
• Accountable for monitoring and achieving key supply chain performance objectives, including:

o Inventory turns and working capital

o Supplier on-time delivery

o Material shortages

o Schedule attainment

o Supplier quality performance

o Purchase price variance and cost reduction

o Customer on-time delivery

o Forecast accuracy
• Develop organizational capability through coaching, mentoring, succession planning, and talent development. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and employee engagement while building a high-performing supply chain team.
• Establish clear performance expectations and accountability for direct reports through goal setting, performance management, development planning, and regular feedback.
• Partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Finance, Sales, and Quality to align supply chain strategies with business objectives and support enterprise decision-making.

Education and Experience:

REQUIRED:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain leadership within a manufacturing environment, including direct responsibility for both strategic sourcing and planning/materials functions.
  • BA in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain/Logistics, or similar relevant field


VALUED BUT NOT REQUIRED:

  • APIM Certified Production Inventory Management (CPIM)
  • Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
  • Demonstrated expertise in Lean and Six Sigma concepts. Certification preferred
  • MBA is a plus
  • Experience in engineer-to-order, configure-to-order, or industrial equipment manufacturing environments preferred.

REQUIRED:

  • Hands-on experience utilizing ERP, planning, and supply chain management systems to drive process discipline, decision-making, and operational performance.
  • Ability to manage projects and establish clear goals and accountabilities to ensure successful delivery (on time, within budget, meeting agreed upon success criteria)
  • Knowledge of the legal terminology and language related to supplier agreements and contracts
  • Good interpersonal, project management and presentation skills with the ability to clearly present recommendations and ideas and to summarize complex issues
  • Critical thinker. Excellent math and analytical skills. Problem-solving experience
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time and establish clear goals and accountabilities to ensure success

This position is very active and requires frequent standing, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing of ladders. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

The noise level in the work environment can be loud occasionally. This is a high-travel position with significant overnight travel required.
