In this context we are looking for a Supply Chain Analyst to join our team in Herndon, VA.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM:

Primary Responsibilities: 90%
  • Ensure operational and commercial excellence for assigned product lines through inventory planning and material availability
  • Forecast customer demand leveraging market data, inventory levels, and consumption patterns
  • Manage inventory levels to optimize availability while minimizing investments
  • Maintain global stocking policies and levels to position the right inventory at the right locations
  • KPI monitoring, reporting and analysis
  • Initiate purchasing and work closely with procurement to secure material supply


Secondary Responsibilities: 10%
  • Collaborate with product management and sales teams on contractual obligations
  • Perform routine inventory analysis to drive supply chain performance (stock out%, turn rate, inventory costs, on-time delivery%)
  • Develop business cases to justify new inventory investments
  • Identify opportunities to improve planning and inventory processes


ABOUT YOU:

Preferably equipped with a bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or Business (OR an equivalent combination of education and experience) and paired with professional experience ideally as a Supply Chain Analyst, we are looking for a team player with the following experience, skills and mindset:

  • 3 years of inventory management/planning experience (preferably in the aviation industry)
  • STRONG analytical capability with ability to deliver data analysis that drives decision making
  • ADVANCED proficiency in Microsoft Office as well as Google Suite
  • Knowledge of SAP, IBP and BI will be an advantage
  • Strong data analysis, forecasting and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills


Physical Requirements:
  • HYBRID: Onsite 60%, Remote 40%.
  • Vision: able to see and read computer screens and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings. (Daily)
  • Hearing: able to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on the production floor including safety warnings or alarms. (Daily)
  • Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications. (Daily)
  • Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts. (Daily)
  • Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs. (N/A)
  • Lifting: able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs. (N/A)
  • Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools. (N/A)
  • Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on the computer. (Daily)
  • Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving. (Daily)
  • Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor. (Daily)
  • Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice.
  • Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces. (Daily)
  • Personal Protective Equipment required: Required PPE includes, but is not limited to, Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Respirators/Masks, and/or Protective Gloves as required by site and/or customer site.
  • Administrative position only PPE required: Steel-toed shoes are required for all shop floor visits, appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor.


Citizenship:
  • Authorized to Work in the U.S. without current or future need for visa sponsorship.


Pay range based on the required profile: $80,000 - $95,000 annually. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on geographic differential. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
