Full Job Description
The Supplier Relationship Manager is a vital role within a company, responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the smooth flow of goods and services. This position plays a crucial part in aligning suppliers' capabilities with the company's business objectives, ultimately contributing to overall performance and success. By fostering collaboration and communication, the Supplier Relationship Manager helps to optimize supply chain efficiency, enhance product quality, and drive cost savings.

Essential Duties
  • Manage and develop relationships with key suppliers to enhance collaboration and efficiency.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of service with suppliers.
  • Monitor supplier performance and compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits of supplier practices and processes.
  • Work closely with Commercial and Portfolio teams to align supplier strategies with organizational goals.
  • Resolve any supplier-related issues or disputes in a timely manner.
  • Analyze market trends and supplier performance data to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide training and support to internal teams on supplier management best practices.
  • Responsible for sourcing negotiating, procuring and managing multiple commodities for new product development and/or base business maintenance.
  • Coordinate with Product Development and Project Management to identify and manage New Product Development Projects.
  • Responsible for end-to-end supply of products from managed suppliers.
  • Completes necessary risk analysis research in support of business critical projects; identifying potential solutions for mitigating risk.
  • Identifies and implements opportunities and/or processes to support Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain cost control, delivery schedules and inventory levels based on desired goals and objectives.
  • Provide Supply Plans to suppliers and manage supplier reviews.
  • Attends industry conferences to source new products and manufactures. Perform other duties as directed by the Head of External Manufacturing & Supply.


Requirements
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences (Pharmacy, Chemistry), Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration. MBA is a plus.
  • Experience: A minimum of 10 years in pharmaceutical procurement, external supply, or manufacturing operations.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems like SAP or Oracle, as well as procurement tools.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the pharmaceutical product lifecycle, including tech transfers, launch management, Current Good Manufacturing Practices, regulatory submission processes.

Certifications / Licenses

Certified Supply Chian Professional(CSCP) certification or Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCPM) SCPro certification desired. .

Travel Requirements Up to 25%

Compensation Range:
$108,000.00 - $172,000.00
