Full Job Description
Summary

Responsible for end to end supply planning for portfolio of pharmaceutical products (finished goods, API and components when appropriate) across a network of contract manufacturing organizations. Owns the development of robust supply pans, proactively manages supply risks and serves as a key interface between internal stakeholders and external partners. Ensure high service levels, optimized inventory and reliable supply continuity.

Essential Duties
  • Own supply planning for a defined portfolio - develop constrained and unconstrained supply plans over 3-24 month horizon
  • Ensure alignment between demand, supply and capacity across Contract manufacturing organizations
  • Lead scenario planning
  • Identify supply risks and develop mitigation plans; Completes necessary risk analysis research in support of business' critical projects, identifying potential solutions for mitigating risk; Escalate and resolve supply issues with external partners
  • Manages relationships with critical suppliers to the business.
  • Manages contract manufacturer relationships for assigned projects.
  • Responsible for planning CMO's and regular supplier meetings with scorecard review; Maintain cost control, delivery schedules and inventory levels based on desired goals and objectives; Drive performance against KPI's ie OTIF, Schedule Adherence, Lead Time reliability
  • Manage inventory strategies across network by setting appropriate safety stock levels and inventory targets
  • Proactively identify excess, slow moving and obsolete inventory
  • Assist in development of supply chain analytics; Analyze and improve key planning metrics and processes
  • Identifies and implements opportunities and/or processes to support Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Lead appropriate sections of supply review as part of S & OP/IBP process providing supply constraints, capacity outlook and inventory position projections; Translate supply risks into financial and service impacts
  • Maintenance of SAP Purchasing systems including but not limited to the following: order entry, vendor records, info records, source lists and material masters. Coordinate with other departments to maintain accurate Bill of Materials (BOM's).
  • Resolution of invoice discrepancies and quality issues (SCAR's) to ensure a continued supply of quality materials for production or other business uses. Recovery of costs for rejected materials and labor where applicable.
  • Control and communication of but, not limited to the following: approved artwork and packaging specifications, COA's/COC's and regulatory information.
  • Provide purchasing forecast and PO's adhering to contracted lead times to suppliers and manage supplier reviews.
  • Proficient in the use of SAP.
  • May mentor or provide indirect leadership to Sr. Procurement Specialist or Procurement Specialist, as needed.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Senior Director, Supply Chain.


Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain or related field.
  • 7-10+ supply chain experience in pharmaceutical, cosmetic or related industry. Cross functional, project team experience required.
  • SAP experience required.


Skills
  • Ability to negotiate. Strong communication skills.
  • Knowledge of common law, Uniform Commercial Code, traffic law, and compliance with anti-trust laws.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical production processes and equipment. Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and Regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to published Upsher-Smith Standard Operating Procedure, policies and safety practices.
  • Ability to read and utilize an MRP report. CPSM or equivalent certification desired.
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills required


Salary Range:108,000 - 150,000
