Full Job Description
What you will do
Within Johnson Controls' Airside Center of Excellence group, you will play a key role supporting Supplier Development and Performance. You will monitor supplier performance, drive daily supplier quality issues to closure, analyze supplier issues across Air Handling Unit (AHU) plants, and track supplier cost of poor quality and initiate supplier chargebacks.

How you will do it
  • Work closely alongside the plant Quality Engineers to address supplier issues.
  • Assess and qualify potential suppliers based on capability, quality, cost, and compliance criteria.
  • Work with suppliers to resolve performance issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Identify opportunities for supplier process improvement.
  • Support suppliers through product launch and ramp-up phases.
  • Communicate across the North American plants to determine the top five issues and worst performing suppliers for transfer to Corporate Supplier Quality.
  • Work with suppliers to ensure that effective root cause and preventive actions are provided for supplier issues.
  • Review and approve supplier corrective actions.
  • Manage Supplier Production Part Approval Process (PPAP's).


What we look for
Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other technical discipline
  • 3 years experience within quality assurance
  • Strong problems solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize Six Sigma tools (FMEAs, Gauge R&R, Capability Analysis, Statistical Process Control)
  • Effectively operate and facilitate cross-functional teams
  • Ability to communicate with multiple cultures/regions
  • Exhibit a high-level of self-motivation, sense of urgency and comfortable making recommendations across broad teams
  • Up to 50% business travel (domestic and international)
  • Position is based out in York, PA (provide support to all AHU sites)


Preferred:
  • ASQ Certified CQE
  • Lean/Six Sigma training, Green or Black Belt
  • Familiarity with reading/Interpreting Engineering drawings and understanding GD&T
  • Experience with ISO 9001


Hiring Salary Range
$76,100.00 - $114,100.00 USD Annual (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
