The Supplier Quality and Development Manager is responsible for providing leadership and management of the supplier quality and development functions across the Pneumatic Division. This role is responsible for ensuring that quality program policies, plans, standards, and requirements are met across the three PDN facilities. Reporting directly to the Division Supply Chain Manager, with a dotted-line relationship to the Division Quality Manager, the incumbent will develop and implement quality plans that drive performance, improve product and service quality, and support continual improvement across the division. This role will routinely interface with all plant functions, customers, and suppliers.

Your Main Responsibilities:
  • Disposition and Implement Corrective Action for Non-conformance
  • Drive supplier improvement initiatives.
  • Proactively partner with Supply Chain peers to support deliveries.
  • Provide direction, guidance, and technical support for critical supplier delivery issues.
  • Establishes and maintains a Supplier Quality System that is effective in producing, measuring, and maintaining a supply base measured by IPML / RPPM, as well as delivery performance, and contractual pricing.
  • Participates in supplier reviews and provides input to the Purchasing, Quality and Engineering Departments in regard to supplier quality. Performs Supplier Quality System Initial Audits and Surveillance Audits as required.
  • Assure quality requirements are adequately defined at all functional levels to permit appropriate quality planning and verification of compliance. Coordinate TQM efforts across business units.
  • Identify, develop, and implement new methods of quality management and systems, and audit existing systems to meet division initiatives, ISO9001, and other customer requirements.
  • Provide quality-oriented leadership in achieving facility quality objectives. Interfaces with internal and external customers to provide comprehensive responses and technical assistance regarding quality systems and/or products.
  • Develop division wide program and annual improvement priorities for supplier delivery, quality, and continuous improvement measures.
  • Utilize automated systems where available to proactively plan, implement, and track quality systems and processes.
  • Maintain the highest degree of customer service, throughput, quality, cost reduction, and people productivity.
  • All other duties as assigned.

We are looking for talent with:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required; B.S. Degree in an Engineering or a technical discipline preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience with progressive levels of accountability and responsibility in Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, Continuous Improvement, and/or related support functions in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 2 years of manufacturing leadership experience is required.
  • Thorough knowledge of International Standard ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems (ISO/TS 16949 as applicable for automotive sector) is mandatory.
  • Certification by the American Society for Quality (ASQ) as a Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB), or Certified Quality Manager/Organizational Excellence (CQM/OE) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and quality technologies.
  • Experience with quality improvement tools and techniques (i.e., Lean, Six Sigma, Statistical Process Control, and Failure Mode & Effects Analysis).
  • Demonstrated leadership, project management, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Travel up to 25%, with peaks of up to 50%.
