Have you considered what it may be like to work at Pratt & Whitney? Supply Base Quality & Core Quality Control has an exciting opportunity within the Production Readiness (Process Capability) value stream for an experienced Supplier Process Control Engineer to act as the Member Point Focal (MFP) within the New Product Introduction (NPI) team. This team is responsible for working closely with our suppliers to ensure we deliver affordable, high-quality parts that meet our customer's dynamic needs. A major focus of this role is to provide support to the Global Supply Chain organization relative to improvement of suppliers' Quality as well as providing Quality interface expertise and support to Suppliers and PW peer organizations.

What You Will Do:
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience coaching APQP/PPAP elements with suppliers
  • Ensure compliance by providing guidance and direction with regards to dedicated PW quality systems and requirements within the supply base
  • Coach and mentor suppliers through their process control, continuous improvement journey
  • Maintain key relationships with Procurement, Engineering, Value Stream Managers, Supplier Development Group, and suppliers.
  • Team with Engineering and Procurement to execute the supply base improvement plans to improve quality signature and ensure customer confidence.
  • Support Vendor Corrective Action Board (VCAB) reviews.
  • Provide timely and effective communications to all levels of organization.
  • Drive product and process improvements that ensure Supply Base quality metric goals are met for process certification and supplier maturity.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement using CORE tools to implement change, eliminate process escapes, reduce cost, and lead times.
  • Coordinate cross functional activities to improve supplier quality signatures.
  • Maintain key relationships with external suppliers' quality and operations management teams.


Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years of prior relevant experience or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years Quality Engineering experience in an aerospace production/manufacturing shop floor or equivalent environment.
  • Experience in AS9100 / ISO 9001 Quality systems.
  • Must be knowledgeable with AS13100 Chapter B.
  • Must possess working knowledge/ proficiency in APQP Quality tools such as Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEA, Control Plans. DFMEA, FAI, GR&R, GD&T elements, etc.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification and experience coaching process improvement and process control.
  • ASQ (CQE, CQM) certifications.
  • Proficiency in statistics, data analytics, DOE, and multivariate statistics.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office suite of tools - Word, Power Point, Excel, Access, Project.
  • Proficient with Minitab.
  • Up to 25% travel may be required.


Qualifications We Prefer:
  • In-depth understanding and practice of AS13003, AS13004, and AS13006.
  • Working knowledge of APQP, PPAP, MRL and QCPC with demonstrated experience in applying these in, aerospace and related industries.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
