Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage the operational performance of suppliers for quality throughout various production phases.
  • Develop and implement action plans with suppliers to address performance issues.
  • Obtain and finalize improvement plans with suppliers to enhance their operational maturity.
  • Ensure consistency in improvement actions across all supply chain parties involved with suppliers.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to drive supplier performance enhancement.

This position contributes to our vision by:
• Monitor and manage the operational performance of a supplier panel in terms of quality in collaboration with Quality job field, Supplier Quality Assurance and logistics from the selection phase to the series production phase
• Manage the action plans with suppliers in the event of recurrent performance drift, until there is a return to an acceptable level of performance
• In the framework of an established contract, obtaining and concluding the implementation of improvement plans with suppliers, enabling them to continuously increase their maturity level
• Guaranteeing the consistency of improvement actions initiated by all the parties in the supply chain responsible for the suppliers

Candidate skills & requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or similar degree or Six (6) years equivalent education or experience required. Lean or six sigma Experience and a CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager) is preferred.
• Additionally Four (4) years of either Supplier Development, Supply Management, Supplier Quality or other area of expertise with direct supplier performance management in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of the development and production processes
• Knowledge of industrial management methods (kanban, MRP2, VMI, EDI...)
• Educational level: min. Bac +5 (Master's Degree equivalent)
• Mastery of Quality tools (AMDEC, 8D, Ishikawa, 5P, etc.)
• Cross-functional management
• Operational experience of over 5 years fully in contact with suppliers in a structure such as purchasing, supply chain, quality
• Proficiency in written and spoken English
• Project management • Lean-Sigma Greenbelt
• Strong knowledge of Procurement systems, operations, methods, procedures and "Lean Supply Chain".
