DutiesHelp
- Performs full range of supervisory functions such planning, organizing, and assigning work, developing performance standards, and providing guidance and direction to staff.
- Participates with the Senior Advisor in the development of overall plans, policies, and procedures as it relates to the administration.
- Establishes goals, objectives, and develops long range planning as relates to present and future services and delivery.
- Represents and speaks on behalf of the Senior Advisor and other key officials at meetings and conferences.

Time in Grade: Current federal employees applying for a promotion opportunity must meet the time in grade requirement of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled.
GS-15 level: Applicants must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the
GS-14 or its non-federal equivalent that demonstrates: Experience establishing goals, objectives, and long range planning for future services; overseeing the management and development of plans, policies and procedure; performing a full range of supervisory functions such planning, organizing, and assigning work, developing performance standards, and providing guidance and direction to staff relating to both work as well as administrative matters; providing leadership in Equal Employment Opportunity program administration; and evaluating work problems and recommending solutions to management official(s) of high rank for the improvement of the organization.

Farm Service Agency (FSA) County Employees: Permanent County employees without prior Federal tenure who are selected for a Civil Service position under Public Law 105-277 will be given a career-conditional appointment and must serve a 1-year probationary period.
