Summary

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (OS) in the INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DIVISION N6.

Duties

Help

• You will direct program management responsibilities in areas of classroom hardware and software design, engineering, operating systems, technology infusion, and data management.
• You will provide input to the development of the division's budget submission supporting all expense elements and categories.
• You will monitor the maintenance of execution year cost data and reviews performance evaluations of actual versus estimated costs as the means to promote cost effectiveness.
• You will provide consultation to the department director and other command and NETC management officials concerning workload projections, program evaluations, technology management, procurement, and implementation.
• You will provide liaison between the department and the customers to ensure that appropriate levels of support are being provided and are satisfactory.
• You will review customer trend analysis and projections necessary to identify current and future customer needs.
• You will establish overall project and program goals and objectives and basic policy formulation for technical and administrative matters within
  departmental level control and cognizance.
• You will administer the work of the division through analysis of workload, determination of priorities, assignment of tasks and redirection, as required.
• You will collaborate on the department training plan, delivers professional development using in-house divisional resources, and partners with the department director to secure additional support from outside the division.

• Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Directing full-lifecycle IT program management and budget execution for the Electronic Classroom Division by formulating project plans, schedules, and cost models in strict alignment with Federal, DoD, and DoN acquisition standards; 2) Exercising full supervisory authority over a diverse division of civilian, military, and contractor personnel-including subordinate supervisors-by managing workload distribution, executing personnel actions, and driving professional development; 3) Overseeing enterprise-wide IT resource allocation and lifecycle management by validating equipment configurations and establishing hardware strategy to ensure complete property accountability and compliant equipment disposition; 4) Leading IT Service Management, change control, and continuous process improvement initiatives to optimize classroom environments while establishing internal controls and delivering management reporting to senior leadership; 5) Coordinating complex technical, cybersecurity, and operational requirements across IT projects to ensure enterprise-wide compliance.
