As a Supervisory IT Specialist (Branch Chief), GS-2210-14, your typical work assignments may include:
- Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of an I&A element as a Branch Chief, ensuring I&A operations related to intelligence support comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs. Plans and assigns work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepares schedules.
- Manages, directs, plans, and coordinates Federal IT requirements and develops strategies countering evolving threats in a rapidly changing global environment. Leads a team providing technical (oversight compliant) solutions to mission user customer generated requirements resulting in measurable mission outcomes. Develops mission use cases that drive successful technology initiatives.
- Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Advises and provides counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management. Promotes an environment in which employees are empowered to participate in and contribute to effective mission accomplishment.
- Prepares and presents briefings. Prepares and analyzes reports; responses to queries, justifications, and background papers on the technical aspects of areas of expertise and assignment. Researches and determines or recommends appropriate actions or interpretation of issues impacting the organization.

Specialized Experience:You qualify for the GS-14 grade level if you possess the specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service performing duties such as:
- Leader of an organization supervising, leading, and mentoring IT Project Managers who oversee the day-to-day operations of the branch requiring background, education, and experience as a first- or second-line federal supervisor of employees.
- Requires knowledge or experience managing the inventory, cataloguing, and accountability or governance of data-centric organizations and experience leading initiatives that greatly advance or alter how data is used strategically as an asset to enable mission requirements.
