Summary

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FACILITIES OPERATIONS SPECIALIST in the FACILITIES MANAGEMENT DIVISION of NAS JRB FT WORTH.

Duties

Help

  • You will direct, control and coordinate all management functions of the Division.
  • You will be responsible for providing all management, supervision, labor, engineering, service, tools, materials equipment, supplies, facilities, and transportation necessary to operate and maintain facilities, equipment and systems.
  • You will be responsible for providing professional and efficient administrative support services to the Public Works Dept, Public Works Officer, Deputy Public Works Officer, Facilities Management Division.
  • You will administer service contracts and manage special projects by developing cost estimates.
  • You will evaluate possible approaches and solutions to unusual maintenance and repair problems using technical judgment, experience, and exploration of available resources.
  • You will conduct long and short-range resource requirement forecasts by analyzing the facility program goals and objectives.
  • You will assign work to junior employees based on priorities, difficulty of work, and employee capability to complete facilities assignments.
  • You will coordinate execution of facilities projects with staff (e.g., public works, contractors).
  • You will advise contracting offices or contractors on the interpretation and application of contractual requirements or organizational policy and regulations.

  • Selectee will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.


Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

1) Applying a comprehensive range of principles, concepts, and practices concerning facility administration sufficient to prepare initial project scopes, descriptions and justifications for necessary facility modifications when infrastructure capabilities cannot support valid mission requirements; 2) Assigning work, setting priorities, and establishing deadlines for subordinates to ensure that organizational deadlines are met; 3) Providing constructive feedback to subordinates and fostering a mentoring atmosphere; 4) Developing, evaluating and implementing immediate and long range goals, objectives, and plan schedules to meet substantial changes in program authority and/or funding; 5) Preparing work packages that include drawings of the existing areas involved, changes required, and detailed descriptions of the work and equipment involved; 6) Communicating both orally and in writing with professionals at all levels of the Command in order to attend or conduct meetings, give briefings, and/or make presentations.
