Duties

Help

• You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work.

• You will decide on the acceptability, rejection, or correction of work products or services, and similar matters which may affect payment to the contractor.
• You will plan and estimate procedures from real property facilities and the installation of equipment.
• You will articulate thoughts and ideas expressively and prepare clear, concise written reports and documents.

• Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
• Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
• Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

• You must possess and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.
• You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station.
• This position is a Mission Essential position.
• Requires use of safety equipment such as hard hat, safety glasses, etc. in construction areas when performing on-site visits.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience in facilities maintenance, construction management, engineering technician work, or public works operations. Experience leading or supervising personnel involved in maintenance, repair, construction, or engineering support functions. Experience preparing technical specifications, scopes of work, cost estimates, or contract-related documentation.

Ability to oversee contractor operations and evaluate completed work for quality and compliance. Knowledge of industrial, commercial, utility, and residential maintenance systems and procedures. Proficiency using computer systems, spreadsheets, databases, and maintenance tracking systems. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing..
