Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The Imaging Clinical Supervisor- Ultrasound supports daily operations of the UltrasoundDepartment, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality diagnostic services. This role oversees staff scheduling, workflow coordination, and labor efficiency while maintaining regulatory, safety, and quality-control compliance. Serving as a key resource for problem resolution and service excellence, the position promotes strong communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care.

Essential Job Duties
  • Provides clinical oversight and leadership for Ultrasound Department technologists and ensures safe, high-quality patient care.
  • Manages and adjusts staffing schedules, augments staffing as needed, and actively supports the daily clinical care delivery team.
  • Maintains comprehensive working knowledge of RIS, PACS, quality control processes, and all applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Supports new employee onboarding and oversees ongoing staff training, competency development, and continuing education.
  • Participates in staff performance assessments, annual evaluations, and competency reviews to ensure clinical and professional excellence.
  • Ensures adherence to departmental policies and procedures and promotes consistent performance standards across all modalities.
  • Maintains regulatory compliance with CDPH, TJC, and ACR accreditation standards, including necessary documentation and quality metrics.
  • Fosters teamwork, professionalism, and a positive, collaborative work environment that supports engagement and effective communication.
  • Assists the Director/Manager as needed with departmental operational responsibilities.
  • Manages and supports the vascular imaging lab as the designated Technical Director.
  • These responsibilities include but are not limited to: o Compliance with the IAC standards to include QC and QA documentation
  • Supervision of the technical staff and ancillary staff associated with US vascular testing.
  • Maintain training for staff to ensure protocols and reporting meet IAC accreditation standards
  • Assist Vascular Lab Medical Director with achieving and maintaining IAC accreditation.
