Full Job Description
FTE: 1.0, Shift: Day, Schedule: Day
  • Cancer Registry Supervisor
  • Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) or Oncology Data Specialist (ODS)
  • Fully Remote
  • Highly preferred: Familiarity with Epic, CRStar, Commission on Cancer (CoC) standards, SEER, national & state cancer reporting requirements


Position Summary
The Supervisor Quality Metrics oversees a team of Data Quality Abstractors & Quality Metrics Coordinators and is responsible for managing data timeliness, accuracy, regulatory compliance, reporting, and training/education in assigned quality metrics program(s). The Supervisor participates in process improvement in the assigned areas by serving as the program data subject matter expert.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Certification in specialty area (RHIT, RHIA, ODS, CMP from ASCP) required
  • Minimum five (5) years experience in healthcare information management or healthcare quality data abstraction
  • Minimum (5) years experience in managing large regulatory/quality data sets (ex: CMS/TJC core measures, cancer registry, cardiac registries, etc.) from collection through reporting and participation in process improvement
  • Previous experience and demonstrated skills in a supervisory or lead capacity
  • Consideration may be given to internal candidates not meeting the minimum qualifications


Pay and Benefit Expectations
We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $72,384.00 - $104,208.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
