Overview

We are looking for a talented Supervisor, Strategy to manage the day-to-day Media Planning and Strategy functions for a well-known client brand. This person will support a team in the development and execution of high budget media plans for assigned business. In addition to orchestrating channel spend, the Supervisor will effectively leverage experience, knowledge, and skills to assist in strategy formation by conducting audience research, exploring competitive messaging, and developing category insights that support business objectives.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative, detail-oriented leader who loves organization and puzzle solving. They are both analytical and thoughtful and can lead a strategic media plan with assistance from senior staff. This person is a strong communicator, writer, task manager, and mentor to their team. This position will manage several junior team member's day to day, and reports directly to the Director, Strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic planning initiatives including deck writing, budget and channel allocation, and audience development
  • Collaborate with and effectively communicate and present to clients, partner agencies, management and internal teams daily
  • Review client deliverables for quality, ensuring that recommendations and work product are sound and viable
  • Closely supervise the implementation and execution of the media plan, which includes ideation, budgeting, scheduling and establishing benchmarks for control
  • Support development of strategic approach and experience design by delivering channel ideas that support client objectives and by providing the link to reality of historical performance and in-market opportunities
  • Research, interpret and evaluate available marketing and research data to develop media objectives and strategies
  • Responsible for managing projects and resources for area of specialization
  • Accountable for accuracy and media intelligence
  • Resource for others to resolve complex questions/problems
  • Supervise, motivate, orient, train, assign and review the work of direct reports
  • Responsible for management and development of Associates and Senior Associates

Qualifications

  • B.A. or B.S., preferably in Marketing, Advertising, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in media planning/strategy
  • Agency experience highly preferred
  • OOH experience highly preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite
  • Experience with Media Software (Nielsen Suite, Kantar, IMS, Flowchart Software, R/F and Optimization Software, Guideline Planning/MediaTools, comScore, Prisma, Mbox, MRI/GfK, GWI)
  • Demonstrate ability to learn new propriety software and processes quickly and proficiently
  • Strong knowledge of all cross-channel media, with a drive for curiosity and passion for the client's business
  • Understanding of Activation/Negotiation team functions
  • Solid written and verbal skills, with ability to present to clients, maintain client correspondence and internal documentation
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and manage priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Understand the capabilities of each media channel to maximize the impact and components within each campaign
  • Able to make independent decisions, rely on minimal supervision, use experience/judgement and identify priorities for themselves and their reports
  • Meet client and internal deadlines and obligations
  • Be able to identify and promote solutions and be a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems/issues

Compensation Range: USD $81,225.00 - USD $111,100.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
