Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day operations to ensure quality during all work hours
  • Oversee quality technicians and ensure timely processing of equipment
  • Coordinate and verify accuracy of inbound equipment checks
  • Assist in defining and implementing inspection, testing, and evaluation methods
  • Fill in as Department Manager when needed and oversee other supervisors
  • Ensure quality and productivity goals are consistently met
  • Generate necessary documentation for daily operations
  • Analyze historical data and current needs for process improvements
  • Meet daily output efficiently and cost-effectively
  • Recruit, develop, and train competent work teams
  • Conduct performance appraisals and reviews for direct reports
  • Administer the 'in-check/OOS/needs repair/disposal' program with regular quality checks
  • Drive completion of continuous improvement projects
  • Promote good housekeeping and safety practices
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned

Full Job Description
What We're Looking For:
• Supervises day-to-day activities within operations in a quality manner during all scheduled work hours.
• Supervises quality technicians to ensure equipment is being processed correctly and in a timely manner.
• Coordinate and ensures accuracy of inbound equipment put in-check
• Assists in the defining and specifics for the implementation of standards, methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision, accuracy and reliability of equipment.
• Fills in on a temporary basis for the Department Manager overseeing the operation and other supervisors.
• Ensures quality goals are met and productivity goals set for the department.
• Generates necessary documentation required to perform daily operations
• Compiles data and analyzes past and current needs for process improvements.
• Ensures daily output is met in an efficient and cost-conscious manner.
• Recruits and maintains labor force by selecting, developing, certifying, and training competent work teams.
• Evaluates performance of subordinates and conducts performance appraisals for direct reports.
• Trains equipment handling associates on equipment operation, and department procedures.
• Partners with Human Resources to recommend personnel actions such as promotions, transfers, discharges and discipline.
• Performs Direct report reviews.
• Administers and reports results of the "in-check/OOS/needs repair/disposal" program including the coordination of regular scheduled quality checks.
• Identifies continuous improvement projects and drives them through completion.
• Promotes good housekeeping and safety practices.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirement:
• 6-9 years relevant experience including minimum 1 year as team lead /supervisor
• Must possess strong problem solving, decision-making and analytical skills
• Intermediate level skills in MS Office and Microsoft systems
• Working knowledge of ISO standards and guidelines

Preferred Requirement:
• Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent supervisory experience in a related industry.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of quality and statistical analysis tools and methodologies.

Pay Range:
$67,040.00 - $100,560.00 Annual

Incentive Compensation:
In addition to base pay, Zebra offers this role the opportunity to earn a performance-based annual cash incentive, at a target equal to 5% of base pay, in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
