Job Description:

The Role

Entegris is seeking a driven and collaborative Production Supervisor to join the CMP Pads Manufacturing team at the Aurora, Illinois facility. This leader will be accountable for meeting departmental production targets by leading a high-performing team with a strong focus on safety, quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

The Production Supervisor will oversee production operators, equipment staffing, and workflow while fostering teamwork, innovation, and accountability. This role partners closely with engineering and other cross-functional teams to ensure smooth communication and seamless operations across all production shifts. This 1st Shift position is onsite, Monday through Friday, leading a team that operates 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, with extended shift support and weekend oversight as business needs require.

What You'll Do

  • Champion safe work practices by modeling expected behaviors, partnering with EHS on safety training, and monitoring adherence to procedures, restrictions, cleanliness, and hazard controls.


  • Lead and develop production employees through effective training, ongoing support, clear expectations, timely performance reviews, and consistent documentation of corrective actions.


  • Provide clear communication regarding goals, expectations, daily priorities, area assignments, equipment staffing, and workflow coordination.


  • Collaborate with fellow supervisors, engineering, management, and other cross-functional partners to maintain aligned and efficient operations across shifts.


  • Oversee production output to ensure products meet quality standards; support defect investigations, recommend corrective actions, update documentation, and contribute to scrap-reduction efforts.


  • Apply Lean and Six Sigma concepts, including Kanban, 6S, PDCA, and visual management, to improve resource planning, schedule attainment, workplace organization, and daily execution.


  • Monitor daily production results and promptly escalate safety, quality, personnel, equipment, material, process, or schedule issues.


  • Identify and pursue opportunities for safety improvements, 6S, labor, cost reduction, waste elimination, improved material flow, and greater equipment and process efficiency.


  • Serve as the first point of contact for shift-level concerns and provide day-to-day directions to the production team.


  • Promote a culture of employee development, accountability, engagement, teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.

  • Working knowledge of production related ERP/MRP systems; SAP experience is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field.


  • Five or more years of supervisory experience.


  • History of monitoring schedule attainment, daily output, machine efficiency, material availability, and tool readiness.


  • Knowledge of CNC machining, web lamination processes, COBOTs and basic metrology instruments.


  • Experience applying Six Sigma methodologies in a manufacturing environment.


  • Good organizational and planning skills, communication skills and ability to adapt to workforce, work environment and customer needs.

  • Compensation: $71,500 - $95,000 per year range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role
