Role: Facilities Supervisor

The OpportunityThe
Facilities Supervisor - South is responsible for the overall care and maintenance of CheckMate Artisanal Winery, Road 13 Vineyards, Liquidity Wines, and Red Barn at Jagged Rock, including all houses, buildings, building systems, and equipment. This role will execute maintenance requirements to ensure minimal interruption or downtime for both winery and guest operations. They will also participate in and support continuous improvement activities, strategic planning, and execution of capital upgrades.
Accountabilities & Impact:- Responsible for the overall condition and maintenance management of the buildings and equipment to ensure that they are maintained at the highest standards possible using a preventative maintenance mindset.
- Manage the daily maintenance workflow including the planning, distribution and follow up of maintenance work order activities.
- Respond to and provide troubleshooting assistance in the event of system failures.
- Coordinate vendor managed maintenance on equipment and supplies as needed.
- Coordinates and supervises outside contractors and service trades in a cost effective and efficient manner in obtaining cost estimates and scheduling repairs.
- Ensure maintenance rooms and part storage areas are clean and organized following 5S principles.
- Ensure work completed meets all regulatory guidelines, local and provincial practices on environmental, health and safety, and fire protection compliance.
- Act as a building systems and processes expert, providing technical support, optimizing equipment, and troubleshooting issues on machinery, controls, electrical and mechanical systems.
- Utilizes computerized assets management software to ensure site assets are documented, preventative maintenance is completed on time, and repair work orders are addressed in priority.
- Completes regular monitoring and inspections of buildings and automation systems and carries out enhancement or repairs.
- Develop maintenance plans and establish work schedules for care and maintenance of winery buildings and facilities.
- Performs minor maintenance tasks on various types of equipment including fire and life safety checks, generator tests, changing filters, building and system inspections, adjustments and repairs using small hand tools
- Serve as the primary on-call contact for facilities maintenance, responding to after-hours maintenance issues, emergency repairs, and light repair requests
What You Bring:- 5+ years progressive experience in maintenance or facilities management.
- Hands on application of trades such as electrical, HVAC, construction.
- Education in electrical, millwright or other mechanical certification or engineering degree is an asset.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and stakeholders at one time.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, utilities, building envelopes.
- Technical mindset with proven commitment to continuous improvement of systems, processing, quality, and technology.
- Available on standby, emergency callouts, and occasional evening, weekend, and holiday work to ensure continuous operational support and timely resolution of facility-related issues.

The typical hiring range for this position is $80,000 - $95,000 annually complemented by an end of contract bonus plan; the base pay is determined by market location and job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education.
