Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Supervise energy and electrical maintenance activities on surface and underground
  • Coordinate underground electrical maintenance and development activities
  • Implement working procedures among team members
  • Organize weekly work schedules for the team
  • Ensure adherence to standard work practices in maintenance activities
  • Collaborate with reliability engineers on shutdown activities
  • Conduct morning and weekly safety meetings with the team
  • Analyze and organize training needs for team members
  • Prepare daily work packages following management processes
  • Apply disciplinary measures when necessary

Full Job Description
YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

Reporting to the General Supervisor, Energy and Infrastructure, you will be part of the Energy and Infrastructure Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle's values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct, and the environment.

  • Supervise all energy & electrical surface & UG maintenance activities;


  • Supervise and coordinate the UG electrical maintenance & development activities;


  • Implement and ensure application of working procedures among team members;


  • Applies the methods and principles of the Supervision Formula;


  • Organizes the weekly jobs to execute according to the weekly schedule;


  • Ensure proper standard work practices are followed through the preventive and corrective maintenance activities;


  • Coordinate, in collaboration with reliability engineers, electrical and planned shutdowns activities when necessary;


  • Coordinate morning meetings and weekly safety meetings with your team;


  • Analyses and organizes the training needs for immediate employees;


  • With respect of Agnico Eagle's internal management process, prepare daily work packages for all team members;


  • Applies disciplinary measures to employees when required.


WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Electrical journeyman license, Instrumentation journeyman license or equivalent experience is required;


  • Must have 5 years of experience underground supervision


  • Must have 5 years of experience in a similar role in remote mine conditions;


  • Experience in remote site power plant management is considered an asset;


  • Education in Electrical Engineering is considered an asset;


  • Experience working in a multicultural environment;


  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.


Note that the official working language at Meadowbank Complex is English.

Your Work Schedule:

  • Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest;


  • Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
