About the RoleWe are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at our Newark, CA bakery. As the Maintenance Supervisor, you will lead maintenance operations to maximize equipment reliability, ensure regulatory compliance, and develop a high-performing technical team that supports safe and efficient production.
Shift & Schedule- Shift: 2nd
- Hours: 2PM - 10:30pm
- Weekend availability: Required
Compensation- Salary Range: $90,000 - $95,000
Core Accountabilities (What You'll Be Doing)- Lead and develop the maintenance team by assigning work, coaching performance, and supporting training and skill development
- Ensure equipment reliability and uptime through effective troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Oversee electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automation systems to support safe and efficient production operations
- Drive safety and regulatory compliance by enforcing OSHA, EPA, FDA, food safety, and Lock-Out/Tag-Out standards
- Manage maintenance planning and resources, including spare parts, labor scheduling, and CMMS work order execution
- Partner cross-functionally with Production and Operations to align maintenance priorities with production goals
- Identify and implement improvements to maintenance processes, equipment performance, and operational efficiency
Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in a food manufacturing environment
- Strong industrial electrical expertise, including motor controls, VFDs, and PLCs
- Proven ability to lead, train, and evaluate maintenance technicians
- Experience using a CMMS system (SAP or similar) for work order management
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, blueprints, and schematics
Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field
- Experience with robotics, programmable controllers, and automation systems
- Additional knowledge of mechanical systems, welding, refrigeration, or plumbing
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and maintenance reporting tools
- Experience driving preventive and predictive maintenance programs
