Job Class: Supervisor (0510), Special Education | Salary Range: $163,526-$174,809/annually | Appointment Type: Certificated Administrator | Calendar: Full-Time/Full-Year

OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION
The Special Education Department is committed to providing innovative, effective services resulting in positive outcomes for the life-long success of students. In compliance with State and Federal regulations, specially designed instruction and related services are designed to meet the individual needs of students eligible for a "Free and Appropriate Education," as outlined in each student's Individual Education Program (IEP). The Special Education Services goals are program excellence, fiscal responsibility, public relations, and equity-centered professional learning and leadership.

Under the supervision of the Director of Special Education, the Special Education High School Supervisor is responsible for partnering in the development, coordination, and facilitation of Special Education services for students who are eligible for special education services delivered in our high schools and county schools. This position supports the development of educational services, coordinates with other SFUSD teams and other agencies to enhance available educational services, and provides support in meeting district, state, and federal accountability requirements through innovative approaches and models.
