As Superintendent, you will provide overall leadership to the onsite construction team, ensuring high-quality project delivery that meets schedule, budget, and design goals. This role involves projects of varying size and complexity.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan, monitor, and track critical path dates and milestone schedules
- Lead weekly foreman meetings and develop agendas
- Define and review expectations for subcontractors, including day-to-day scheduling
- Supervise Iconica's carpenters and laborers as needed
- Work with the field team to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment
- Collaborate with surveyors and foremen to establish benchmarks, shoot grades, and verify dimensional control
- Document daily project events with logs, photographs, and as-built drawings
- Ensure all team members and subcontractors work safely and in compliance with regulations
- Conduct weekly safety inspections and document findings
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and subcontractors
- Perform carpentry/general work as needed
Qualifications & Background:- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field (equivalent experience of four years may be considered in lieu of a degree)
- Minimum of five years of direct commercial construction experience in a superintendent role
- Experience leading both ground-up construction and complex renovation projects, including work in occupied spaces
- Experience with design-build projects (preferred)
- Extensive knowledge of construction and carpentry equipment and tools, including power tools
- Strong ability to read, interpret, and review plans, shop drawings, and specifications
- Solid understanding of jobsite safety procedures
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); experience with Procore is a plus
- Strong time management, organizational, and prioritization skills
- Excellent analytical and negotiation abilities
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment
- Demonstrated initiative and commitment to continuous learning
- Valid driver's license (preferred)
