Full Job Description
The Opportunity with McKinstry

We are looking for a Superintendent to be a part of our Energy division in Phoenix. The Superintendent will ensure project success through on-site management of subcontractors and maintenance of client relationships. Additionally, some responsibilities you will have include:
  • Developing and updating project schedules.
  • Approving daily work tickets.
  • Reviewing submittals.
  • Setting up and tearing down job site logistics.
  • Coordination of work with trades, subcontractors and vendors.
  • Writing and reviewing scopes of work.
  • Assisting Project Manager with bid procurement.
  • Managing and closing out punch list activities in a timely manner.
  • Communication with field personnel.
  • Develop and maintain logs and reports as required for project execution.
  • Maintain daily logs of work performed by McKinstry and subcontractors onsite.
  • Develop RFIs as required to document changes to the scope of work.


What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry
  • Commercial General Contractor experience required.
  • OSHA 30 certification required or must be obtained within 6 months of assuming position.
  • Working knowledge of scheduling software: Microsoft Project, Primavera and/or Suretrak required.
  • Knowledge of construction management, commercial building process, and OSHA standards required.
  • Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Project required; working knowledge of SharePoint preferred.
  • Four (4) years of leadership of trades and job sites preferred.
  • BA/BS degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architecture or Facilities Management or equivalent work experience preferred.

The pay range for this position is $84,060 - $122,760 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay information is based on market location. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
